Rho Kappa - Honor Society for Social Studies is currently accepting applications for this school year. All applicants must have taken two AP Social Studies courses and have a 3.0 GPA. Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge's website under the Rho Kappa tab. Be sure to print out the completed application and submit a copy of your transcript no later than 10/28/2022 

Attention new Junior Beta Members- If you have dues to turn in, please bring them to Mrs. Stanley in room 234 right after announcements. Do not hold on to your money and try to turn it in at the end of the day. All money should be turned in as early in the day as possible!  

CENTRAL MAGNET DECA will be hosting a Spirit Night at Newk's located at 149 Wendelwood Drive off Memorial Blvd on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A percentage of sales will be donated to DECA. This applies to Dine-In, To-Go, Online Orders and Curbside orders. Let them know you are with DECA. Thank you for your support of our DECA chapter.  

Coffee Shop is back in BUSINESS!! We are selling iced/hot coffee, hot chocolate and cookies.  

We will be open again on Friday 10/28.   

Help save 3 lives by being a blood donor! HOSA is hosting a blood drive here at Central on Thursday, November 10th from 7:30 to 1:30 in the gym. The sign-up is located on Central's main page, Mrs. Harrison's main page, and the HOSA webpage. If you cannot be a blood donor encourage family and friends to donate. If you are not yet 18 you will need a parent permission form-see Mrs. Harrison to pick that up! 

Key Club is having a Donation drive to benefit the Domestic Violence Shelter from October 17-November 4, 2022.  

Supplies needed: Body wash, bottled water, deodorant, nonperishable lunch items, dish liquid laundry detergent/dryer sheets, household cleaners, mouthwash, paper towels, toilet paper, sanitizer, shampoo/conditioner. National Spanish Honor Society is having a BAKE SALE Monday, October 31st! All items are $1 and we will be selling before school in College Corner, and then in every lunch! Be ready to get your sugar rush to help us raise money to help our community! Thank you! 

Radio Club meets during A rotation in Room 349 in the annex.  The goal of Radio Club is to inspire students to be active in amateur radio and the many branches it offers and to help students to understand what radio is and how it is used within the world today. More information is available on the Radio Club website.  

Attention students!  Concessions will be sold on Friday this week.  Feel free to stop by before or after you vote in the mock election with your social studies classes.  Get excited! 

Did you lose your clear teeth aligner in the cafeteria on Tuesday? If so, it was turned into the front office! 

Juniors, The counseling department will host a meeting for you and your parents to discuss junior year planning on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 6:00 in the auditorium.  

October 31 is the last day to pay or order an AP exam for a class that you are in this semester.  Pay online with credit card or in attendance with cash or check. 

Seniors, If you are interested in applying for the TN Promise, (two years free community college), the deadline is November 1. See your counselor for more information. 

The HS girls' basketball team is selling Christmas Wreaths from now until Nov. 16th! See one of the players or coach Bush to order yours! 

The Men's High School basketball team is looking for another manager for the 2022-2023 season. 

If you have interest in a manager position on the men's basketball team- contact Coach Worsley or Coach Lanier. 

The Middle School Lady Tigers earned their first victory of the season last night with a 46-18 win over Thurman Francis.  Lia Reyes led the Lady Tigers with 21 points including 5 3 pointers and Madisen Stanley added 15.  The JV was also victorious with a big win as well.  The next game is Thursday, Oct. 27th beginning at 4:00 with JV.  Come out and support your middle school basketball teams.   

The Middle schools boys basketball team lost a close game to Thurman Francis 40 to 49.  The Tigers where lead by Henry Long with 10 points followed by Owen Butler with 8 and Hollis Jackson with 7.

Attention all MS and HS students...On Friday 10/28 from 3-7 HP Campus School (our neighbors) will be having their Fall Festival. They are in need of student volunteers to help with a variety of games/inflatables.
