The middle school musical of The Little Mermaid Jr has performances coming up on December 2 and 3 @7pm and December 4 @5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children 5 and under get in for free. You can purchase your tickets at the door with cash or check only OR you purchase them online by scanning a QR on a poster hanging on a bulletin board throughout the school or going to Mrs. Sweet's website where a link is also available. Come out and support your middle school students in this fun production under the sea!
The high school JV boys’ basketball team opened their season last night with a 40-35 win against Franklin Road Christian. The team was lead in scoring by Garrett Florida who had 10 points, Alijah Dean with 7, and also Walter Wylie with 7. The team is now 1-0.
The middle school boys’ basketball team lost a close game last night 32-33. Owen Butler led the tigers with 12 pts, Isaac Messick had 6 and Kason Puffer added 5.
The Central Magnet Tigers dropped their first game of the season last night with a 65-56 loss to Franklin Road Christian. The Tigers were led by Mason Brown with 20 points, Jake Maddux with 14 points, and McLane Martin with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Isaac Smith and Alex Perry also had 7 rebounds each. With the loss the Tigers are now 3-1 on the season.
The Lady Tigers started slow but finished strong last night on their way to a 55-20 win over Franklin Road Christian. The lady Tigers were led in scoring by Addison Melton with 16pts, Reese Carlisle added 12pts with 4 3’s, Olivia Hart also pitched in 12 pts, Reese Martin had 5 pts, Clara Johnson and Reilly McMillian added 4 pts each, and Julia Stuible finished with 2 pts. The lady Tigers will be back in action this weekend at Stewart’s Creek.
The Middle School Lady Tigers secured two wins last night against Whitworth Buchanan in both JV and Varsity. The JV was lead in scoring by Norah Clancy and Emery Bland both with 4 points each. Madisen Stanley led the varsity with 23 points while Liana Reyes added 14. The Middle School Tigers and Lady Tigers will be back in action tonight at home against Cannon County Middle beginning at 4:00.
Coach Snow will be leading a WWII-themed tour of Europe in the summer of 2024. They will visit London, the D-Day beaches in Normandy, Munich, Hitler’s Eagles Nest in the Bavarian Alps - and Salzburg, Austria – the birthplace of Mozart and setting for The Sound of Music.
