Tomorrow during 6th period the preliminary round of the 2022 CMS GeoBee will be hosted by Coach Burns in room 202. Middle school students who advanced are listed on the GeoBee webpage, which can be found on Coach Burns' webpage. Please be on time and ready to have some fun. 

Young Life club is back tonight at Claire’s house at 7:57. Be there! 

DECA will be hosting a Middle School Dance for grades 6th-8th on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be $10 and sold at the door. The theme for the dance will be Winter Wonderland. Wear your favorite Christmas outfit and be ready to dance the night away with your friends! 

The Junior Beta Club did an amazing job at the state convention last week. We had many members place in events.  Daniel Choe is the new state champion for 7th grade science!  Elaine Li placed 2nd in painting. Jacob Anderson placed 2nd in 8th grade math.  JT Parkerson placed 3rd in 8th grade ELA .  Anna Redmon placed 4th in 7th grade math.  Connor Clagg placed 5th in 8th grade Spanish   The Central Magnet Junior Beta Club was also presented with the GOLD KEY award for growth in convention attendance. We all had a great time and are so proud of all the members that participated.  

The middle school musical of The Little Mermaid Jr has performances coming up on December 2 and 3 @7pm and December 4 @5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children 5 and under get in for free. You can purchase your tickets at the door with cash or check only OR you purchase them online by scanning a QR on a poster hanging on a bulletin board throughout the school or going to Mrs. Sweet's website where a link is also available. Come out and support your middle school students in this fun production under the sea!

The Lady Tigers were busy over the break playing in the Don Heneagar Classic. On Friday, the Lady Tigers defeated Cane Ridge 54-45. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Olivia Hart with 29pts, Addison Melton had 17pts, Reese Carlise and Reilly McMillian added 3pts each and Reagan Brand added 2pts. On Saturday, the Lady Tigers fell in a very competitive game to Lawrence Co. 39 to 25. Addison Melton led the scoring with 10pts, Olivia Hart contributed 9pts, Reagan Brand had 4pts, and Bethany Jackson chipped in 2 points. The Lady Tigers will travel to Community on Thursday to battle Community.
