Today during 6th period the preliminary round of the 2022 CMS GeoBee will be hosted by Coach Burns in room 202. Middle school students who advanced are listed on the GeoBee webpage, which can be found on Coach Burns' webpage. Please be on time and ready to have some fun. 

DECA will be hosting a Middle School Dance for grades 6th-8th on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be $10 and sold at the door. The theme for the dance will be Winter Wonderland. Wear your favorite Christmas outfit and be ready to dance the night away with your friends! 

Rho Kappa is collecting soda tabs this holiday season for the Ronald McDonald's House at Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital. They collect aluminum pull tabs from any container (soda pop, soup, pet food, etc.) and work with a local recycler to turn those tabs into money for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at Nashville area hospitals.  Our group is collecting these until December 15th. Any donation can be sent to Mr. Eldridge's room (115). 

Science National Honor Society will be hosting Dr. Robert Hayes to present on agricultural sciences on Wednesday, Nov. 30th @ 3:15 to 4:15 pm in the Senior Cafeteria.  This presentation is open to all students. Snacks will be available. 

The middle school musical of The Little Mermaid Jr has performances coming up on December 2 and 3 @7pm and December 4 @5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children 5 and under get in for free. You can purchase your tickets at the door with cash or check only OR you purchase them online by scanning a QR on a poster hanging on a bulletin board throughout the school or going to Mrs. Sweet's website where a link is also available. Come out and support your middle school students in this fun production under the sea!

The Middle School Swim Team had a great meet against Oakland Middle, PCA, and LaVergne last Tuesday night. Both the boys and girls teams placed second, causing a combined place of 2nd place behind Oakland Middle. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Regionals in at least one of their events: Allie Abbott, Mady Oring, Jay Williams, Charlie Hurst, and Chloe Roeder. 

The Middle School Lady Tigers secured two wins against Siegel last in JV and Varsity. JV was led in scoring by Norah Clancy with 8 and Samarah Odell added 6 while Anna Redmon and Sarah Zaza finished with 3 and 2 respectively.  Madisen Stanley led the varsity with 20 points while Liana Reyes added 13, Landry LaPointe had 4 and Bailey Foster finished with 2.  One more home game Thursday night before going on the road for 4 consectitve ones, so come support your Tigers and Lady Tigers.  

Congratulation to the middle school boys basketball team on their win over Siegel last night 35-22.Kai Jones lead all scorers with 10 points and Kason Puffer added 6.
