The Final Round of the 2022 CMS GeoBee will be Tuesday. The ten finalists should report to Coach Burns' room at the very beginning of 6th period. This should give us plenty of time to finish before A lunch.
DECA will be hosting a Middle School Dance for grades 6th-8th on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be $10 and sold at the door. The theme for the dance will be Winter Wonderland. Wear your favorite Christmas outfit and be ready to dance the night away with your friends!
Rho Kappa is collecting soda tabs this holiday season for the Ronald McDonald's House at Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital. They collect aluminum pull tabs from any container (soda pop, soup, pet food, etc.) and work with a local recycler to turn those tabs into money for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at Nashville area hospitals. Our group is collecting these until December 15th. Any donation can be sent to Mr. Eldridge's room (115).
Earn class points by scanning the Golden Cup QR code when you attend the Middle School Musical this weekend. Juniors remain in first place with 190 points, but seniors have moved up in the rankings, currently tied with the sophomore class at 140 points. And freshmen aren't far behind with 110.
The middle school musical of The Little Mermaid Jr has performances coming up on December 2 and 3 @7pm and December 4 @5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children 5 and under get in for free. You can purchase your tickets at the door with cash or check only OR you purchase them online by scanning a QR on a poster hanging on a bulletin board throughout the school or going to Mrs. Sweet's website where a link is also available. Come out and support your middle school students in this fun production under the sea!
The Middle School Lady Tigers are now 9-1 after defeating Rock Springs last night 38-20. Liana Reyes led all scorers with 13. Madisen Stanley added 13 and Landry LaPointe had 5. The JV also added another win to their 8-2 record led in scoring by Emery Bland with 8 and Norah Clancy with 6.
The Middle School Boys Basketball team defeated Rock Springs last night 43-35. Hollis Jackson and Owen Butler lead the Tigers with 8 points while Josh Duggin and Tate Morris each added 7.
The JV high school boys basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 44-37 victory over Community last night. The leading scorers for the Tigers were Garrett Florida with 12 points, Alijah Dean with 8, and John Hays with 7.
The Lady Tigers got a huge win on the road last night over Community 62-60. The Lady Tigers led throughout the game, but it got interesting late. The Lady Tigers were led by Addison Melton with 20pts, 3 assist and 6reb, Olivia Hart also had 20pts and added 6 reb, Reilly McMillian had the best game of her career as she chipped in 14pts, 4 assist and 4 steals, Reagan Brand was big off the bench with 5 pts, Bethany Jackson had 2pts, Julia Stuible added 1pt. The Lady Tigers will host Maplewood next Tuesday as they begin District play.
Coach Snow will be leading a blockbuster WWII History Tour in the summer of 2024. An informational meeting for students and parents will be held in room 205 on Monday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m.
