PROM COMMITTEE Student Members! We WILL be meeting TODAY in Dr. Saxon's room in the Annex during E Rotation time to give updates and information for Spring. Arrive Promptly. Thank you! 

Homecoming is Friday, January 27th! We will be having a variety show. You can audition for the show by uploading a video to the flipgrid posted on the High School Student Council website. There is also a Form linked to the Flipgrid that you must fill out. High School and Middle School students can all audition. Auditions are due by Wednesday, January 11th. Please see Dr. Hines or Mr. Click if you have any questions.  You will need to sign in to Flipgrid with your school credentials. 

Any high school student interested in being a part of a crew for The Sound of Music should email Mrs. Sweet. The type of crew positions that are available are Set crew, Stage crew, Costumes, Lights, and Sound. For more information of what the responsibilities are of each crew, please visit Mrs. Sweet's website or call board for details before emailing.  

The middle school track and field team will have a parent meeting for the upcoming season on Tuesday, January 10th at 6:00 pm in the senior cafeteria. If you have any questions, please see Coach Burns in room 132. 

During the break The Lady Tigers participated in the Lady of the South Invitational Tournament in Scottsville, Ky. There were 16 teams in the tournament and the Lady Tigers finished in 1st place and had to win some tough games. 

The Lady Tigers defeated Greenwood, Ky. in the first game 74-53. Addison Melton led all scorers with 27pts including knocking down 7 3's and also had 7reb. Olivia Hart finished with 19pts and 7reb, Reilly McMillan finished with 6pts, Bethany Jackson had 5pts and 7 assist, Reagan Brand also chipped in 5pts and Reese Carlisle and Julia Stuible finished with 4pts a piece.  

In the 2nd game, the Lady Tigers had to grind out a tough defensive battle vs Green Hill HS 32-26. Olivia Hart led the team with 13pts, Bethany Jackson had 9pts, Addison Melton finished with 6 and Reese Carlisle and Reilly McMillan finished with 2pts each.  

The semi-final game the Lady Tigers faced a familiar foe in Westmoreland and out-scrapped them 46-36. Olivia Hart led all scorers with 18pts, and 5reb, Addison Melton had 11pts, Bethany Jackson had 9pts and 4 assist, Reilly McMillan had 6pts, 3assist and 4 steals, Reese Carlisle finished with 3pts, 3reb and 2 assist.  

In the Championship game, the Lady Tigers faced South Laurel Kentucky. The game was back and forth the whole way and with 1sec on the clock Reilly McMillan with ice water in her veins sank two FT's to give the Lady Tigers the championship 55-54. The Lady Tigers was led in scoring by Addison Melton 15pts and 4reb, Bethany Jackson had 14pts including 4 3pointers and 4 assist, Olivia Hart battled foul trouble and finished with 13pts, and 8reb, Reilly McMillan had 5pts and 4 steals, Reese Carlisle, Reagan Brand and Julia Stuible chipped in 2 pts each.  

Addison Melton was named the tournament MVP! 

The Lady Tigers basketball team also got big district win over the break vs Glencliff. Olivia Hart and Reilly McMillan both had 11pts each, Reagan Creasy had 10pts, Reagan and Reese Martin each had 9pts, Addison Melton and Bethany Jackson chipped in 6 each, Clara Johnson and Ella Kate Harris had 4pts each and Reese Carlisle finished with 3pts. 

The Central Magnet Tigers improved their record to 12-5 on the season with a 72-60 victory over the visiting Sycamore War Eagles. The Tigers were led by Mason Brown with 29 points, Will Becker 18 points and Jake Maddox chipped in 8 points and Alijah Dean with 7 points.  

Tigers will be back in action Friday night when they host district foe MLK at 7:30 pm.
