The BSU will be kicking of Black History Month with a field trip on February 1st to the National Museum of African American Music. Those club members who are interested in participating should see Ms. Taylor to pick up a permission form. All members should check TEAMS for details about the event including the deadline for submitting your permission form.
 
Attention All Students: Reading Rooms will be available this Friday during Spirit Day activities. The Middle School sign up sheets are posted upstairs by Ms. Hale’s room and High School sign up sheets are posted on the auditorium doors. When you sign up, please print your name NEATLY and MAKE NOTE OF WHICH ROOM you will report to.  Students should not need to go anywhere while in the reading rooms (except the restroom). This is an opportunity for students who enjoy a quieter atmosphere to avoid the noise and crowds of Spirit Day.
 
Attention students! Concessions will be sold on Friday this week. Feel free to stop by before or after the volleyball game. Please do not take concessions into the auditorium.
 
Varsity Cheer will sell smoothies at all 4 lunches on Friday for $6.00.
 
Beta and CORE club are joining together to donate to the Coldest Nights Coat Drive. They will be accepting new or lightly worn winter coats, hats, gloves , and scarves from January 9th-31st. Donation bins will be in Mrs. SK's room, Dr. Roland's room, and Mrs. Hendrixson's room.
 
SENIORS - If you have earned or are STILL WANTING to earn the Seal of Biliteracy, come to room #221 at 3:15 on Thursday, Feb. 2nd to fill out the mandatory paperwork with Ms. Dixon. Without completed paperwork, you can't receive the Seal.

Avenging one of their two losses on the season, the JV boys basketball team improved to 10-2 last night with a 34-25 victory over Hillwood. Alijah Dean led the team in scoring with 15 points and Eli Fearns chipped in 7. Everett Smith had 6 rebounds and John Hays had 5 steals and 3 assists. It was an all around team effort. Next up is Holloway High school on Thursday night.
 
The Lady Tigers improved their record to 19-4 with a win over Hillwood last night 50-11. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Olivia Hart with 12 points and 7 rebounds, Reilly McMillan had 11pts, Addison Melton finished with 9pts and 4 assist, Bethany Jackson had 7pts, Julia Stuible had 4pts, Reese Carlisle finished with 3pts and Ella Kate Harris and Clara Johnson each finished with 2pts. The Lady Tigers will be in action again this Friday (homecoming) vs Glencliff.
 
The Central Magnet Men's Basketball Team picked up a huge district win last night when they upset the distirct leading Hillwood Hilltoppers 49-46. Will Becker led the way with 21 points and 16 rebounds while Mason Brown added 13 points and Owen Zubkus added 6 points, Jake Maddox 5 points, and ALex Perry 4 points.
The Tigers will be back in action at home on Friday when they take on the Glencliff Colts at Homecoming!
We need all of the striped squad there on Friday night!
