Juniors, registration for the ACT Boot Camp is now open. The Boot Camp includes 6 sessions: an all-day Saturday boot camp with focus on navigating the test, tips for success, and content specifics and 5 after-school study workshops. The program is free to all participants. The 120 spots available will be filled by juniors first in preparation for the state-wide ACT taken by all 11th grade students on March 7th. The deadline for registration is February 15. Enrollment will be opened up and filled by to other grade levels after this deadline. SNHS is hosting Ms. Royal to talk about genetics on Wednesday, February 8th. The event will take place during CT in the Senior Cafeteria. This is open to anyone, but club members can earn one point for attendance and one point for bringing snacks or refreshments.
DECA is hosting a Middle School Dance on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Theme: Pink Out We will have a DJ, photo area and concessions will be sold in the senior lunchroom.

Middle School Choristers is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This high-energy choir sings all types of music in many languages and offers opportunities to audition for district and regional honor choirs. This choir is growing larger each year, and we would love to have YOU join us next year!
High School students, you have TWO choirs available to you. If you can fit them into your schedule, you may register for both! Varsity Choir is our traditional choir, which sings beautiful, fun and challenging music of all styles. This choir is open to all CMS High School students, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced singer. We have loads of fun in class, and you will have opportunities to audition for district, regional and state-level honor choirs. We are looking to build this group into a large SATB chorus, and we would love for YOU to join us! We are also bringing back the Central Magnet Show Choir. This group is open to 9th - 12th graders who are experienced performers and have participated in choir or musical theatre productions. This ensemble will perform songs in many contemporary genres, including musical theatre, pop, rock, country, jazz, etc., and will include student choreographers. Before registering for this class, please contact Dr. Saxon to set up an audition. You may email her or drop by Annex 339 to see her.

Because of the weather and missing school, Middle School Boys Soccer tryouts will now be on Monday and Tuesday. Tryouts will begin at 3:15 and end at 5:00pm.
The Central Magnet Tigers dropped a tough game last night when they fell to Martin Luther King Jr. Royals 72-66. The Tigers were led by Mason Brown with 31 points with Will Becker adding 13 points and Alex Perry chipping in 10 points.
The Tigers will be back in action tonight when they host the Hume Fogg Blue Knights which is SENIOR Night- make sure to come out and support our Seniors at the game.
The Lady Tigers improved their record to 21-4 last night as they defeated MLK 55-19. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Addison Melton and Olivia Hart with 12 pts each, Bethany Jackson added 11pts, Reilly McMillan finished with 9pts, Reese Carlisle added 6pts, Reese Martin had 3pts and Clara Johnson chipped in 2pts. The Lady Tigers will be back in action tonight be Hume Fogg and it will also be senior night. Please come out and support our seniors tonight!
