The library will be closed on Wednesday at 11:00 through the end of the day. Please make plans to check out books and print prior to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8. 

Valentine's Day is around the corner, and love is in the air! Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy! Middle School Student Council will be selling Candygrams during lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Each candygram is $1. You will get a chance to show love to your friends with a sweet message and a treat of your choice. Candygrams will be delivered during 6th period on February 14th. Thank you for supporting Middle School Student Council and spreading love and kindness around Central! 

SNHS is hosting Ms. Royal to talk about genetics on Wednesday, February 8th. The event will take place during CT in the Senior Cafeteria. This is open to anyone, but club members can earn one point for attendance and one point for bringing snacks or refreshments.  

DECA is hosting a Middle School Dance on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.  Theme: Pink Out   We will have a DJ, photo area and concessions will be sold in the senior lunchroom.  

CORE is selling roses for $3 during C and D lunches and during CT in Mrs. SK’s room (116) Tuesday through Friday this week. This is a great way to get a flower to that special someone or friend on Valentine’s Day. Send some to all your friends so they have a beautiful memory to cherish forever. Stop by to have your flower and note hand-delivered to their 4th period class. 

The TableTop Boardgaming Club will not meet tomorrow, February 8th. It will meet again on Wednesday, February 15th. 

Current juniors (rising seniors): It's time for you to choose your classes for your senior year! Check your school email for instructions and a link to sign up for an appointment. We will begin Monday, Feb. 6 and finish Friday, Feb. 17. Please go ahead and make your appointment and don't wait to be called from class when it's time. Simply come to Guidance a few minutes before your scheduled time.  

Are you looking for a summer job?! Murfreesboro City will be in college corner at lunch today to share the opportunities available to you. Stop by and visit with them! 

The middle school swim team competed at the Rutherford County Middle School Championship this past Saturday. The boys placed third with their score at the boys session and the girls were able to place second with their score. With only 15 total swimmers competing, the team was able to place third behind Oakland and Rockvale with their combined score. Congratulations to the following swimmers:  

- Allie Abbott for placing second in the 200 Freestyle and first in the 100 Freestyle  

- Mady Oring for placing third in the 50 Yard Freestyle and second in the 100 Breaststroke  

- Chloe Roeder for placing second in the 50 Yard Freestyle  

- Emily Guess for placing third in the 100 Yard Butterfly 

- Max Patel for placing second in the 100 Yard Butterfly  

- Jake Bull for placing third in the 100 Yard Breastroke  

- Ashtyn Patterson, Allie Abbott, Chloe Roeder, and Mady Oring for placing second in the 200 Medley Relay 

- Benjamin Huang, Jake Bull, Max Patel, and Charlie Hurst for placing second in the 200 Medley Relay 

- Charlie Hurst, Benjamin Huang, Jake Bull, and Jay Williams for placing third in the 200 Free Relay 

- Chloe Roeder, Ashtyn Patterson, Harper Rose MacNeal, and Allie Abbott for placing first in the 400 Free Relay  

- Max Patel, Cooper Olson, Wesley Sands, and Jay Williams for placing third in the 400 Free Relay  

The Lady Tigers JV basketball team went 1 and 1 over the weekend. They defeated Siegel 26-21 with Julia Stuible leading the way with 16pts, Ella Kate Harris finished with 6pts and Clara Johnson and Libby Hines both finished with 2pts apiece. In the second game the Lady Tigers fell to Watertown 29-27. Julia Stuible led again with 12pts, Libby Hines and Clara Johnson had 4pts each, Ella Kate Harris finished with 3pts and Reese Martin and Yazmin Zekry each had 2 pts. The jv will be back in action again today vs Community at 3:45. 

The Lady Tigers defeated Hume Fogg last Friday night 56-12. It was a great way to send off the seniors Reese Carlisle, Reagan Creasy and Olivia Hart. They all have had a huge impact on this program. Olivia Hart led the Tigers in scoring with 20pts, Julia Stuible added 8pts, Addison Melton fished with 6pts, Reese Carlisle and Bethany Jackson each had 5pts, Reagan Creasy had 4pts, and Reilly McMillan, Libby HInes, Reagan Turnbow and Clara Johnson all finished with 2pts. The Lady Tigers will be back in action tonight vs Community.
