Attention high school students! Do you like to create, design, and bring those creations to life? Maybe you have always been interested in theatre, but the idea of performing hinders you from participating in a course or production. Well, listen to this! Next year there will be a high school technical theatre course offered for any student in grades 9-12. There is no pre-requisite to sign up. In this class we will go over set and costume design and construction, lighting design, publicity/marketing, a business career in theatre, and more! Ask your guidance counselor about more information and how to sign up in your meeting for scheduling next year’s classes. You can also see Mrs. Sweet with any questions!

If you need to take a test to earn the Seal of Biliteracy, please see Ms. Dixon's website to register for an exam.  The test will be administered on campus Thursday, Feb. 23rd during the school day.

DECA is hosting a Middle School Dance on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.

Theme: Pink Out

We will have a DJ, photo area and concessions will be sold in the senior lunchroom.

CORE is selling roses for $3 during C and D lunches and during CT in Mrs. SK’s room (116) Tuesday through Friday this week. This is a great way to get a flower to that special someone or friend on Valentine’s Day. Send some to all your friends so they have a beautiful memory to cherish forever. Stop by to have your flower and note hand-delivered to their 4th period class.

It's cold outside and while we get to be warm and indoors when James Evans calls, others are not so lucky.  Coldest Nights Women's Shelter is in need of the following items: Socks, gloves, individually wrapped snacks (something easy to chew is best because of dental issues), powdered hot chocolate and cider packets, chapstick, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, bottled water, combs, brushes, pony tail holders, individual tissue packs, individual shampoo and conditioner bottles, single-use soap.  Bring your donations to Magistra Henson in room 225.  She has candy.

The Youth Leadership Rutherford application for juniors is open.  The link is on the Guidance high school page and Mr. Nichols emailed it to all the juniors.

Current juniors (rising seniors): It's time for you to choose your classes for your senior year! Check your school email for instructions and a link to sign up for an appointment. We will begin Monday, Feb. 6 and finish Friday, Feb. 17. Please go ahead and make your appointment and don't wait to be called from class when it's time. Simply come to Guidance a few minutes before your scheduled time.
