SNHS is hosting Mr. Horton to talk about subatomic particle physics on March 1st. This event will take place during CT in the Senior Cafeteria. This is open to anyone, but club members can earn one point for attendance and one point for bringing snacks or refreshments. We hope to see you there to learn about the small things. 

Juniors and Seniors, don’t forget to enter your promposal for the chance to win prom tickets, after-prom tickets, or a gift card.  Submissions start February 27th and end on March 10th. 

Middle School Youth in Government will meet today, Monday, Feb. 27, in room 240 during C club rotation. 

Attention members of the Mental Health Initiative Club: The regularly scheduled club meeting for today, February 27th, is cancelled. Again, MIH will NOT meet during C rotation today.  

PROM TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE! For the first two weeks, there is a discount of $10 to make each ticket $60! Tickets will be sold online (See Prom website) OR in C/D lunches in the cafeteria. Reminder that even if you purchase online, you MUST come by the table at lunch to pick up your physical tickets! See Mrs. Pinson or Mrs. Svarda with any questions! 

Congratulations to our archers that shot at the Mossy Oak Tournament this week.  We had three archers place in the bullseye tournament.  Ev Phillips placed 4th in the MS Female Division, Jesse Blunkall placed 5th in the HS Female Division and Jackson Harris placed 3rd in the HS Male Division.  The High School team brought home their first team award of the season with a 3rd place finish.  In the 3D tournament, Ev Phillips was the 2nd place MS Female and Owen Taylor was the 3rd place MS Male. 

The Lady Tigers basketball team overcame a slow first half to defeat Liberty Creek 51-28 to advance to tonight’s region semi-finals. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Bethany Jackson with 14pts, Reilly McMillian had 11pts, Olivia Hart also had 11pts and 12reb, Addison Melton chipped in 8pts and 13reb and Reese Carlisle finished with 7pts, 10reb and 4 assist. The lady tigers will play Greenbrier tonight in the region semis @7:30pm at Liberty Creek HS in Gallatin. 

The Central Magnet Tigers advanced to the Region semi-finals of the 5AAA tournament on Saturday night with a 60-56 victory over the Creek Wood Red Hawks.  

The Tigers were led by Mclane Martin with 13 points and 5 steals, Will Becker with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Jake Maddox with 11 points and 3 steals.  

The Tigers will take on Hillwood on Tuesday night at 7:45 at Liberty Creek in Gallatin. 

The high school spring musical The Sound of Music opens next Thursday, March 2nd! Performances are March 2, 3, 4 @ 7:00pm and March 5 @ 5:00pm. Tickets for students are $5, adults $10. You can purchase tickets online ahead of time by scanning the QR code on any of the posters you see hanging around the school. You may also purchase tickets at the door. Cash or check only. Come out and support the CMS theatre department and enjoy a timeless classic!
