Attention linguists and problem-solvers! Show your skills at the MTSU Linguistics Olympiad on Saturday, April 22nd! High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers, compete with your friends against other students from across the state by solving language puzzles, and enjoy an afternoon meeting MTSU faculty and possibly winning top awards for your abilities. Are you a high achieving rising junior or senior? Do you like science? If so, Science National Honors society is taking applications for new members for next school year. The applications can be found on the SNHS website and must be submitted by Thursday, April 6th. If you want to be considered for an Officer position, you must fill out a separate application that is also due April 6th. Officer positions are open to any existing and applying new members. The counselors will begin registering the rising CMS 9th graders Monday after Spring Break. The current 8th graders need to check their school email for directions and a link for an appointment.
Seniors- please turn in your permission form to Dr. Guthrie for the field trip. Your permission form, your notarized form and your money is due by April 5th. If you need a form, please check with your English teacher.
Middle School Students- If you are interested in trying out for Middle school Cheer for the 2023-2024 school year, you need an information packet. Please stop by Mrs. Huffman's office, Dr. Hines' office, or print one out from the MS Cheer website. There is a MANDATORY parent meeting April 10 at 6 pm in the senior cafeteria. The Central Tigers won their 3rd game in a row in shut out fashion 11-0 over Lavergne. Connor Barrett threw a complete game 1 hit shutout. He struck out 8. Hayden Griggs was 2 for 2 with 4 rbis and blasting his second homer of the season. Carter Long was 2 for 3. The Tigers will be back in action today versus Eagleville at 5:00 at Starplex before playing in Hilton Head over Spring Break.
The boys and girls middle school golf teams both won their matches last night. The boys included Justin Grissom, Jude Austin, Sawyer Lee, Beckham Pitt, and Daniel Choe. The girls were Jian Jian Gao, Sadie Call, and Celeste Robins. Justin was overall low score.

This is the last week to get your CMAP ticket for $20 and guarantee your T-shirt size. *Students need to register online AND upload the required parent consent form before going to the cafeteria table to pick up tickets.* Please do not come to the table until you have completed the online registration.
