The library will be closed today during 2nd period. Bradley Academy 3rd graders are coming to meet their Central pen pals. The librarians will not be able to help students or teachers during this time, but the doors will open again at 1:30

The World Languages Department is Proud to bring back the WORLD CUP SOCCER Tournament this coming Monday, April 10th, during club time!!!! Please see your language teacher for sign-ups!

High school students - NEHS is hosting their second session of resume building: Activity engagement! This session will be held in the senior cafeteria during Central Time. You should check in with your CT teacher before reporting to the cafeteria.

Are you a high achieving rising junior or senior? Do you like science? If so, Science National Honors society is taking applications for new members for next school year.  The applications can be found on the SNHS website and must be submitted by Thursday, April 6th. If you want to be considered for an Officer position, you must fill out a separate application that is also due April 6th.  Officer positions are open to any existing and applying new members.  Please see Mr. Bonanno with any questions. 

Middle school Youth in Government will meet today, Wednesday, April 5, from 3-4 P.M. 

Congratulations to the Tiger Tank Competition winners: 

Ethan Adams was our 3rd winner; in second we have Ian Scott Kelley.  Taking the 1st place prize are 6th grade entrepreneurs, Cooper Olson and Connor Mathis.  Thank you to all participants! 

Eighth graders attending Central next year need to check their email for registration information.  There is a link for you to make an appointment with your counselor. 

Rutherford County is offering several online summer classes for $125 per semester.  This includes PE, Wellness, Personal Finance and Art.  See the Guidance Webpage under the High School tab for the application. 

CMAP volunteers will be in the cafeteria Wednesday, April 5 for ticket pick up. Students who paid for tickets but didn't submit registration with permission form need to do it ASAP. *You are not official until the parent consent form is uploaded online. And for those that haven’t purchased tickets, they are $25. Please complete the online form before coming to the table. 

Seniors- please turn in your permission form to Dr. Guthrie for the field trip. Your permission form, your notarized form and your money is due by April 5th. If you need a form, please check with your English teacher. 

To kick off Senior Week, special thanks to Zaxby's who will be providing lunch Monday, April 10 for our Seniors! Weather permitting, lunch will be outside. 

For any current Central student interested in joining next year's high school golf team, tryouts will be next Monday, April 10, at Bloomfield Golf Course off Medical Center Parkway. Meet there at 3:30 and we should be finished by 4:30. See or email Coach Burns with any questions. This is for current Central students only, 8th-11th grades. You must be 100% in Dragonfly to tryout. 

Middle School Students- If you are interested in trying out for Middle School Cheer for the 2023-2024 school year, you need an information packet.  Please stop by Mrs. Huffman's office, Dr. Hines' office, or print one out from the MS Cheer website. There is a MANDATORY parent meeting April 10 at 6 pm in the senior cafeteria. Stop by or email Mrs. Huffman for details. 

The boys middle school golf team placed 2nd last night at Bloomfield.  Players included Felix Jeong, Jude Austin, Beckham Pitt, Sawyer Lee, and Ian Perkey.  The girls team included Jian Jian Gao, Emma Ibrahim, and Lily Broox Carey.  Jian Jian was the overall low score for both boys and girls.  We play again this Thursday and Indian Hills. 

Congratulations to all our archers that participated in the state tournament last week.  In the bullseye tournament, Lydia King placed 4th in the MS Female Division out of 308 MS Females, Owen Taylor placed 8th in the MS Male Division out of 349 MS Males and Nathan Blunkall placed 10th in the HS Male Division out of 228 HS Males. The MS team placed 12th out of 27 teams and the HS team placed 6th out of 20 teams.  In the 3D tournament, Ev Phillips placed 4th in the MS Female Division out of 66 MS Females, Owen Taylor placed 2nd in the MS Male Division out of 72 MS Males, Ava Edwards placed 10th and Jesse Blunkall placed 7th in the HS Female Division out of 42 HS Females, and Nathan Blunkall placed 1st in the HS Male Division out of 62 HS Males.  Nathan was also the Top Overall Male Champion for the 3D Tournament out of 207 Males and won a brand-new bow.  The HS team placed 4th out of 8 teams.  All of these archers have qualified as individuals for the National tournament in May.
