Many varsity and JV players had strong showings at the Oakland Invitational 2 weeks ago, and the Varsity team traveled to Johnson City for the Hilltoppers invitational to play 2 very strong teams, with the girls taking a win against Collierville and both teams playing excellent matches against Science Hill. Last Saturday, they headed to Bowling Green for the South Warren Invitational, girls taking first and boys taking 2nd place. Varsity girls won their Harper Hall match, and JV girls fought hard, and JV lost a tight match to Curran-Ingram. Both varsity teams won district matches against Riverdale, Smyrna and Lavergne, while boys fell to district rivals Siegel to be 2nd seed in the team district tournament, and girls beating them to be 1st seed. They head to district semifinals today as post-season gets underway. Congratulations on a great regular season to both varsity and JV and good luck to them in the post.
