UNICEF Club will meet this Friday during C rotation in Room 241. 

All middle and high school students are invited to attend the Central Magnet Skateboarding Club this Friday in room 110. There will be skating-related giveaways and you do not need to own a skateboard to attend. 

Want to practice SPEAKING your Spanish, while eating a snack and without penalty or constant correction?! Then MESA DE ESPAÑOL is for you! Come to Sra. Pinson's room on Friday's C Rotation clubs to chat the whole time in Spanish! Dues are $2 and need to be turned on Friday if possible. ¡gracias! 

Please remember that Tri-M Music Honor Society membership forms and $5 dues need to be turned in to Mrs. Way-Kiani by Friday, September 8th. 

Rho Kappa, the Honor Society for Social Studies, is now accepting applications to become a member during the 2023-24 school year. Prospective members must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and have taken two AP Social Studies courses. Along with the application, perspective members must submit recommendations and their transcript.  Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge’s school website. Deadline is September 15th.  

If you are taking the ACT at Central on Saturday, Sept. 9, please leave in plenty of time as there will be a race taking place near the school. Doors open at 7:30 and the exam will promptly start at 8:00.  If you encounter a blocked road on your way, let the police officer know you are taking the ACT and he/she will let you through. Please also make sure you bring a valid picture ID and your admission ticket. You will NOT be admitted without an ID.  

College Corner will host Elon University, Eckerd College, and Duke on Tuesday, Sept. 12 during C/D lunch. Stop by to learn more! 

Attention Seniors: The Dollywood field trip is September 22. Please get permission forms from your English Teacher. The notarized form and your money is due to Dr. Guthrie no later than September 13th.  

We will sell Smoothies at all four lunches on Friday.  We will have Lemon Twist Strawberry, Angel Food, and Strawberry Kiwi.  Bring $6 and support your HS cheer squad. 

The high school volleyball team dropped to 10 and five on the season after a tough loss on the road at Blackman on Wednesday. The Tigers were led by Noella Obi, who had 19 kills and five diggs. Maddie Porter chipped in seven kills and also had 10 diggs and 11 assists. Central will return to action Friday afternoon at the Rocky Top classic in Sevierville.
