Rho Kappa, the Honor Society for Social Studies, is now accepting applications to become a member during the 2023-24 school year. Prospective members must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and have taken two AP Social Studies courses. Along with the application, perspective members must submit recommendations and their transcript. Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge’s school website. Deadline is September 15th.
UNICEF club will meet today Friday during C rotation in Room 241. UNICEF is the United Nations Children's Fund which helps to give every child around the world a better chance in life, helping with health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. High school students, are you interested in a career in the Architecture, Construction Management, and Engineering fields? Then ACE Mentoring club is for you. Students will be introduced industry mentors, to colleges with programs in these related fields and will work on a design project as an actual design team. If you are taking the ACT at Central on Saturday, Sept. 9, please leave in plenty of time as there will be a race taking place near the school. Doors open at 7:30 and the exam will promptly start at 8:00. If you encounter a blocked road on your way, let the police officer know you are taking the ACT and he/she will let you through. Please also make sure you bring a valid picture ID and your admission ticket. You will NOT be admitted without an ID.

The girls and boys tennis teams both had decisive wins against Rockvale yesterday. JB Roach and Sawyer Lee spent the full 90 minutes on court to get their 9-7 win, and Makayla Price and Daya Haridasan Nair took their match to tie break. All singles and remaining doubles won their matches. They play MTCS next Thursday.
