Peer tutoring now open for business!!  Math tutors are available on Wednesday mornings from 7:15-7:45 and after school 3:15-4:00 in room 100 ( Ms. Smithson's room)  

All grades welcome to come get help with their math homework or prepare for a test!

Rho Kappa, the Honor Society for Social Studies, is now accepting applications to become a member during the 2023-24 school year. Prospective members must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and have taken two AP Social Studies courses. Along with the application, perspective members must submit recommendations and their transcript.  Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge’s school website. Deadline is September 15th.  

HS Beta new member applications are due Friday 9/15.  For current members, this month's service opportunity is posted on the club website.  Questions? See Dr. Roland or any officer. 

The Black Student Union @ CMS is an organization with the goal of creating opportunities and encouraging support for our students.  If you are interested in joining this organization and playing a role in welcoming diversity in our school, please go to the BSU club page and complete the form that is linked there.  Join the REMIND group and stay informed about upcoming meetings and events. 

High school students, are you interested in a career in the Architecture, Construction Management, and Engineering fields? Then ACE Mentoring club is for you.  Students will be introduced industry mentors, to colleges with programs in these related fields and will work on a design project as an actual design team. The first ACE Club meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 20th from 3:30 to 5 pm in room 128.  Please see the ACE Club website or Mr. Bonanno for additional information and questions. 

High School Students:  Payment for AP exams begins Sept 12 and ends Oct 31.  Check your email for the details. 

Any middle school student interested in being a part of crew for Frozen Jr, please go to Mrs. Sweet for more information and how many positions are available.  

Thank you for supporting us in our Smoothie King fundraiser.  We have increased our Smoothie order each week.  This week we have 50 more Smoothies coming in than last week.  We should make it through all 4 lunches.  Thanks for your support. 

For anyone that is interested in participating on the MS and HS archery teams this year, there will be a parent meeting on Monday, September 18th at 5:30 pm in the main cafeteria.  Signup, practice and tournament information will be provided at the meeting.  Please see the Archery website or Coach Bonanno with any questions. 

Your High School Lady Tigers soccer traveled to Marshall County last night for a district match and brought home a win with a final score of 9 to 0.  

Claudia Mitchell scored the first goal of the match with a double assist from Julia Ann Hamilton and Josie Bush. Sofia Kime scored the second goal of the evening with an assist from Julia Ann Hamilton. Claudia Mitchell scored the third goal of the evening with an assist by Josie Mitchell. Julia Ann Hamilton scored the fourth goal with an assist from Claudia Mitchell. Maddie Degnan scored the fifth goal with an assist from Lillie Bryant. Sofia Kime scored the sixth goal with an assist by Laila Vaughn. With the hat trick, Sofia Kime scored the seventh goal of the game with an assist by Claudia Mitchell. Josie Bush scored the eighth goal with an assist by Reily Gusman. The final goal of the game was scored by Reily Gusman with an assist by Lydia Parkerson.  

The Lady Tigers will be in the road again next week in another district match up against Tullahoma.  

The high school volleyball team lost to a talented Riverdale team on Tuesday night 3 sets to 1. Grace Martindale led the way with 19 digs and 4 aces. Noella Obi had 15 kills and 4 digs, and Becca Jerkins had 12 assists, 5 digs and 3 aces. The tigers return to action Thursday night when they host district foe Cascade. JV will begin at 5, with varsity to follow.  

Students, don't forget that this Friday is fall picture day. All pictures will be taken in the gym throughout the morning. On Friday morning, you will be able to find the schedule on the CMS homepage and on the gym doors. Again, yearbook pictures will be taken this Friday in the gym. See Ms. Quinn if you have questions.
