Are you a high school student who enjoys poetry and creative writing? Come to the open mic to hear our current TN Youth Poet Laureate. Participate in the writing workshop in the library during CT on Wednesday, September 20 to share your writing in a judgement-free environment and develop your writing with mentors from Southern Word. Look for posters in your English class with QR codes. Use the QR codes to let us know you are coming. 

Are you interested in enriching your math knowledge?  Dr. Ye from MTSU will be visiting Tiger Time this Friday during all 6th period lunches.  Come down to room 133 during your study hall time. 

Science tutoring will take place every Tuesday before school (7:15am-8am) and during 6th period study hall (C/D) @room 133. To sign up, you can either fill out the form in the SNHS website under the tutoring tab or scan the QR code of the science tutoring flyers posted around science classrooms. It's highly recommended to fill out the form at least a day prior to their tutoring date. 

The library will be closed during CT today to host a Southern Word event. We will also be closed on Friday, September 22nd to set up the book fair. The Books a Million book fair will open Monday, September 25th at 7:30! Please make plans to check out the books you need by this Thursday. 

Students planning on getting their driver's permit over Fall Break need to pick up the SF1010 form in the Attendance office. 

High school students, are you interested in a career in the Architecture, Construction Management, and Engineering fields? Then ACE Mentoring club is for you.  Students will be introduced industry mentors, to colleges with programs in these related fields and will work on a design project as an actual design team. The first ACE Club meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 20th from 3:30 to 5 pm in room 128.  Please see the ACE Club website or Mr. Bonanno for additional information and questions. 

Prom Committee will meet for the first time today during E Club Rotation in Mrs. Smith's Room (Room 124). Prom Committee is for Juniors Only. 

Voting for middle school student council is today! Campaign videos & the link to vote are on the main page of the middle school student council website. Voting ends at 1:30 pm. Good luck to all the candidates! 

Come out to the Fall High School Choir Concert "True to Black and Gold" on September 28th at 7:00 pm. Support our choir students as the Varsity Choir, Show Choir, and student soloists perform the music of the season! Admission is free, and donations are accepted. 

High School Tennis will have an interest meeting on Thursday, September 28th, at 6:30 pm in the senior cafeteria. Please enter through the event entrance near the soccer fields. Try outs will be in October with dates to be announced on the websites soon. If you are interested in the meeting but unable to attend, please see Coach Angel in room 206 or email her. 

We will sell Smoothies at all four lunches on Friday.  We will have Lemon Twist Strawberry, Angel Food, and Strawberry Kiwi.  Bring $6 and support your HS cheer squad. 

Middle school boys tennis picked up another win against PCA yesterday. Sadie Call had a convincing victory and Viviana Hwang fought hard for her close win, but the girls ultimately fell 2 to 3. They face off against Thurman Francis Thursday. 

Congratulations to our middle school volleyball team for defeating Community last night in 2 sets. The team won 25-23 in the first set and 25-19 in the second. Lily Stuible had 6 kills between the two sets and Emery Bland had 8 kills and 4 aces. The lady tigers take on Whitworth Buchanan tonight at home in their last district match of the season, so come out and support your middle school volleyball team! 

The High School Volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory last night over Giles County to remain undefeated in District play. Emma Grace Smith led the way with 5 kills, 4 aces and 4 digs. Becca Jerkins had 7 aces and 7 assists. Emma Williams chipped in 6 kills and a dig.  

Senior night will be next Tuesday. Please make plans to attend! Senior parents will be providing Donut Country for the student section!
