On Tuesday, Oct 17th, the Seniors will be taking the ACT. Seniors, you are allowed to leave following the ACT if you have the permission form signed in advance by your parent/guardian. These forms will be passed out in your English classes or available in the attendance office. They are due to attendance by Monday, Oct 16th. We will not be accepting phone calls or texts the day of the test. The rest of high school will be taking the ACT cert that day. This is not an excused checkout for 9-11th grade. Seniors that have turned in the permission form to leave, you do not have to sign out in attendance. 

High School students, make sure to bring your charged laptop to school tomorrow for testing.  Seniors, for the ACT you can only use a school issued device.  If you have checked one out, please bring it with you.  9 - 11th grade students may use their school issued or personal devices for CERT.  

Juniors & Seniors - Do you need help with your resume as you apply for jobs, scholarships, and colleges? Come to the National English Honor Society Resume Workshop in the Senior Cafeteria during CT on October 23d and October 25th. Monday, October 23rd will be an info session where we discuss formatting, structure, resources, and information to include. Wednesday, October 25th will be a work session where you can sit down with peers and receive feedback or help with your resume. If you are interested, you MUST sign up in Flex in order to attend. NEHS members that attend both the info and work session will receive a service point. 

Any 6th or 7th grade students that are interested in visiting the Grand Canyon next fall break.....  join us on Thursday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m. in Room 134 to find out more information or stop by and see Mrs. Culp. 

HOLA Club' will be selling delicious Mexican pastries and authentic Mexican hot chocolate tomorrow morning from 7:15 to 7:55 in College Corner. Conchas are $3 and hot chocolate is $2. Please support our club as we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations.  

HOSA will be selling Halloween Candy Grams starting today and running through next Wednesday in the cafeteria. Each candy gram is $1 and will be delivered to the person of your choosing on Halloween during their 6th period class! Stop by the table to purchase one anytime during A through D lunch and support HOSA! 

College Corner has a great line-up on Oct. 17. Western Kentucky University, Harding University, and a Naval recruiter will all be here. Stop by to check them out! 

The middle school musical Frozen Jr is next weekend! Performances are October 20 @ 7pm; October 21st has two performances: 4pm and 7pm. Sunday matinee performance at 5:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets are sold at the door, or you can purchase some online by scanning the QR code on the posters you see throughout the school. Make sure to come out and support the theatre department!  

The High School Boys and Girls basketball teams will be selling discounted student season tickets for this upcoming season! Tickets will be $25 for students. This is a savings of $38. If you would like to purchase a season ticket, please see Coach Bush or Coach Worsley.  

High School Tennis tryouts begin this Thursday, October 19th at 4pm for any player who was NOT on either varsity or JV last year.  Tryouts are at Adams Tennis Complex outdoor courts. Please check the high school tennis website- not the tryout page- for specific information, as tryout dates are multiple and varied. All players must be complete and green in Final Forms to try out. See Coach Angel in room 206 if you have any questions. 

Congratulations to the High School Cross Country team! At the MSCCA Championship this past weekend, the varsity boys were division champs! The varsity girls were division runners up! Next week, the team will compete at regionals. Wish them luck as they work toward rounding out a great season!
