This Friday is the makeup day for fall pictures. Remember that fall pictures are used in the yearbook, so if you were absent when fall pictures were taken, you will need have your picture taken this Friday in the auditorium. The schedule for these pictures has been added to the auditorium doors and will be added to the CMS homepage. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Quinn. 

Seniors, this Friday Loveless will be at Central to take pictures of any senior who has not already had pictures taken at the studio. Ms. Quinn will be contacting each senior on her list via email about scheduling, so please be sure you are checking your school email. Please see Ms. Quinn if you have any questions. 

Juniors and Seniors wanting to earn the Seal of Biliteracy: Wednesday November 1st is the deadline to register and pay for the AAPPL (pronounced apple) and ALIRA exams.  See Ms. Dixon with any questions. 

The library will be closed beginning at 10:30 on Friday, November 3rd through the end of the day on Tuesday, November 7th. Make plans to print and check out your books before Friday, November 3rd. The library will open again on Wednesday, November 8th at 7:30. 

The Crochet Club meets again this Thursday, November 2nd.  We will end this week's meeting at 4:00 so make sure your ride is here by 4 in the middle school pick-up area.  For those who will be attending for the first time, please remember to bring a completed Opt-In form.  A link for the form can be found on the Crochet club page of the CMS website. 

High School Class T-shirts are now on sale!  You can purchase your class shirt using the link on the CMS webpage (https://rocketshirts.chipply.com/CMClassShirts/.)  The sale will end on November 5th and the shirts should be delivered to the school late November.    

In honor of national French week, French Club will be providing interesting facts about the French speaking world. Today's little-known fact: If you wear jeans, thank the French. Denim was created in the town of Nimes, and the name is a version of De Nimes , meaning from Nimes.    Velcro was invented by George de Mestral, a french-speaking Swiss man, after noticing how burs stuck together in nature. More fun French facts to come! 

Don't forget there is a Governor's School interest meeting today during CT from 9:35-10:00 in the auditorium for 10th and 11th graders. It is very important that you attend if you are interested in applying to Governor's School. If for some reason you are not able to attend, please contact your school counselor for more information.  

HS Cheer will sell Smoothies for $6 at all 4 lunches this week.
