We'd like to congratulate the following 11th and 12th grade students who auditioned for and were accepted into the Mid-State Orchestra: 

Michelle Aguilar, violin 

Angel Hu, violin 

Catie Waugh, violin 

Jayden Po'e, viola 

Ayaka Shiomitsu, viola 

and William Parker, double bass! 

4 of these students also ranked high enough to qualify for All-State Orchestra. This is a huge accomplishment, so be sure to congratulate the following students when you see them:

DECA is sponsoring a Middle School Dance on Friday, December 1, 2023. Time is 6:00 p.m-8:00 p.m.  

Admission is $10.00 and tickets will be sold at the door. Theme is Frozen.  DJ Corban is making his rounds again! Balloon backdrop to take pictures. Concessions will be sold as well. 

Hear ye! Hear ye!  Calling all students with talent!  The annual Central Magnet Variety Show will be on Friday, January 12th.   To audition, please submit a video of your act to the FlipGrid using the link on the Central Magnet website (https://flip.com/767e0704).  You will also need to complete the Microsoft Form that is linked in the FlipGrid.  Auditions are due by December 8th.  All accompanying tracks are due by December 15th.  If you have any questions, reach out to Mr. Click, Mr. Mears, or Dr. Hines.  

Young Life club will be meeting tonight at 7:57 PM at 1515 Greenland Drive. We hope to see you there!

The HS Beta food drive has been extended to December 14.  Boxes are located in college corner and in front of Dr. Roland's room. 

Calling all actors, singers who dance and dancers who sing!!! Audition packets for the high school musical Legally Blonde are now available on Mrs. Sweet's and Mr. Germany's websites. Please read the entire packet carefully. Audition information will also be posted on the call board outside of Mrs. Sweet's room in the annex. Vocal and dance auditions are Monday, December 4th after school until 6pm. You must sign up for a vocal audition slot using the sign-up link in the packet. Callbacks will be after school on Tuesday, December 5. If you have a conflict with audition or callback day, please see Mrs. Sweet about making necessary arrangements. Any high school student in the school can audition. This is a fun high energy show that could use all the talent we have at CMS, so if you are on the fence, you should definitely go for it! Mrs. Sweet and Mr. Germany hope to see you at auditions!  

High School boys' soccer will start open fields this Wednesday from 3:15-4:30. Players must be up to date on Final Forms.  

The Lady Tigers had a busy week as they went 4 and 1 over the last week including winning the Silverdale Thanksgiving Classic. The first game the lady tigers defeated Walker Valley. Addison Melton led the team in scoring with 18pts, Madisen Stanley finished with 9pts and Clara Johnson pitched in 7pts. The 2nd game the lady tigers defeated Chattanooga Tyner 51-17. The scoring was balanced with Clara Johnson and Addison Melton finishing with 11pts each, Reilly McMillian had 10pts and Lia Reyes finsihed with 7pts. In the Championship game the lady tigers defeated a tough Eash Hamilton team in overtime. The lady tigers were led by Addison Melton with 28 pts including 11 of 11 from the FT line. Bethany Jackson tossed in 13 pts, Julia Stuible added 6 pts and Reilly McMillian finished with 3 pts. Addison Melton was awarded the tournament MVP award. The lady tigers are now 5 and 1 and will play at Community tonight.
