Hear ye! Hear ye! Calling all students with talent! The annual Central Magnet Variety Show will be on Friday, January 12th. To audition, please submit a video of your act to the FlipGrid using the link on the Central Magnet website (https://flip.com/767e0704). You will also need to complete the Microsoft Form that is linked in the FlipGrid. Auditions are due by December 8th. All accompanying tracks are due by December 15th. A sweet treat can bring so much joy, and what better way to spread that joy than by supporting a great cause? The UNICEF Bake Sale is not just about indulging yourself, but about making a difference in the lives of children around the world. The bake sale will take place starting next week on Tuesday and continue on December 7, 12, and 14 before school in college corner and during lunches, and we've got an amazing lineup of homemade goodies prepared by our talented bakers.
Calling all actors, singers who dance and dancers who sing!!! Audition packets for the high school musical Legally Blonde are now available on Mrs. Sweet's and Mr. Germany's websites. Please read the entire packet carefully. Audition information will also be posted on the call board outside of Mrs. Sweet's room in the annex. Vocal and dance auditions are Monday, December 4th after school until 6pm. You must sign up for a vocal audition slot using the sign-up link in the packet. Callbacks will be after school on Tuesday, December 5. If you have a conflict with audition or callback day, please see Mrs. Sweet about making necessary arrangements. Any high school student in the school can audition. This is a fun high energy show that could use all the talent we have at CMS, so if you are on the fence, you should definitely go for it! Mrs. Sweet and Mr. Germany hope to see you at auditions!

The High School Boys JV basketball team defeated Holloway High School yesterday 47-36 to move to 1 and 1 on the year. The Tigers were led in scoring by Nathan Deinard with 11 points, Hollis Jackson with 9, and Carter Sage with 8. Other highlights include Matias Carmona knocking down a three at the buzzer to end the first half and Everett Smith taking three charges on defense to seal the team’s victory. The team is back in action tonight as they travel to Sparta to take on White County High School.
The Middle School boys basketball team defeated Rock Springs last night by a score of 56 to 28. Ardin Lewis lead all scores with 24 points while Owen King added 12 and Kason Puffer had 7.
The girl's JV and varsity basketball teams both won last night. The JV score was 15 to 14 and the varsity score was 40 to 22. The leading JV scorer was Sadie Craig with 5 points. The leading scorer for varsity was Anna Redmon with 12 points and Norah Clancy lead with 9 assists for the varsity.
