The library will be closed today from 9:10-11:00. Passes are closed and students should not be sent to the library at the end of 1st period, during CT, or during clubs. 

We'd like to congratulate the following students on their sucessful Mid-State auditions this weekend: 

Danika Shiomitsu was selected for Mid-State Orechestra on the violin, Lucas Ye was selected as an alternate on viola, and Jason Dyer was selected to the 7-8 Gold Band. Congratulations to these middle school musicians! 

Hear ye! Hear ye!  Calling all students with talent!  The annual Central Magnet Variety Show will be on Friday, January 12th.   To audition, please submit a video of your act to the FlipGrid using the link on the Central Magnet website (https://flip.com/767e0704).  You will also need to complete the Microsoft Form that is linked in the FlipGrid.  Auditions are due by December 8th.  All accompanying tracks are due by December 15th.  If you have any questions, reach out to Mr. Click, Mr. Mears, or Dr. Hines.  

Attention high schoolers: Tonight will be Young Life's annual Christmas club! There will be holiday treats, and lots of fun activities. We will be meeting at Liberty Station 850 NW Broad Street at 7:57 PM. We hope to see you there! 

The Central Magnet Chess Team hosted another successful Scholastic Championship on Saturday with over 140 participants. The Central Magnet High School and Middle School both placed first in team competition with many team members placing in individual events. Please congratulate Chess Team members on a successful Tournament.  

 A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Have a meeting location at school and at home that everyone will gather after a fire evacuation. A meeting location will help you quickly verify that everyone made it out safely. 

HS Cheer will sell smoothies for $6.00 on Friday.   

Any MS Golfer who plans on playing this spring needs to see Coach Henson in the Senior Cafeteria today during CT. 

There will be an interest meeting for HS men's soccer this Tuesday at 6pm in the drama room.  Please plan to attend if you intend to play this Spring. 

Students, there will be a parent and athlete interest meeting for high school track tonight at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be in the senior cafeteria. Please see the flyers posted around the school and/or check the high school track website for more information. You can email Mrs. Nau with any questions.   

The TSSAA Individual Bowling Sectionals were held last Friday. Out of a field of 73 girl bowlers, Catie Waugh finished 6th, Gracee Carmichael finished 9th, and Kaylee Victory finished 15th. Catie Waugh's sixth-place finish qualified her to compete in the Individual State Championship in January. Congratulations to all three senior bowlers! 

Congratulations to both teams this weekend as both teams placed 2nd in the bullseye tournament at Rockvale.  Individually, Owen Taylor was the 2nd place MS Male and Jackson Harris was the 2nd place HS male in the bullseye tournament.  In the 3D tournament, the HS team placed 1st, beating Riverdale by 1 point.  Individually in the 3D tournament, Kate Brown was the 4th place MS Female, Owen Taylor was the 3rd place MS Male, Jackson Harris was the 4th place HS Male, Jesse Blunkall was the 4th place HS Female and Ava Edwards was the 1st place HS Female.
