Rising Juniors & Seniors - If you're interested in becoming a Writing Lab Tutor for the 2024-2025 school year, please pick up an application from either Mrs. Eubanks (room 104) or your current English teacher! The deadline for applications has been extended to Wednesday, January 31st due to our snow-cation! Please see Mrs. Eubanks with questions or concerns.

All interested high school students - freshmen through seniors - are welcome to take the Seal of Biliteracy exam here on campus Tuesday, February 27th.  Please see Mrs. Dixon to register and pay for the test. 

Attention all Seniors - If you are planning to graduate with the Seal of Biliteracy, there is still MANDATORY paperwork to complete.  Please attend Ms. Dixon's paperwork meeting Wed. Jan. 31st @ 3:15 so you can walk the line with your deserved recognition.

Invitations to apply for the National Honor Society have been emailed to all qualified Juniors and Seniors. Applications are due Friday, January 26. Please see Mr. Windham if you have any questions.

Would you like to help our community by improving the environment, and earn community service hours? Join the Forestry Conservation Club’s first meeting on Friday, January 26th, in Ms. Royal’s room to learn more!

Friday's Jr. Beta meeting will be VIRTUAL via zoom. The link will be on the Junior Beta Teams page. If you are a member of Junior Beta but do not have access to the Teams page, please email Mrs. Davis so she can get you added for the meeting. You will stay in your advisory class during club time and listen to the meeting using headphones. If you miss the meeting, there will be a recording posted to the Teams page afterwards.

Congratulations to Makayla Price, winner of the #BlackGirlJoyChallenge grant! Join her on February 3rd from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm at the You + Me Gardening event at the Technology Engagement Center at 306 Minerva Drive. You will learn more about the benefits of gardening, journaling, and healthy eating, as well as receive free gardening kits, journals, snacks, and fun!

Students in AP Gov’t, AP Macro & AP Micro this semester, it is time to order the semester 2 AP exams.   We will begin collecting payments January 24 and the deadline to pay is March 1, 2024.  There are two ways to pay for the exam.  Students can pay by cash or check (payable to CMS) in the attendance office for $98 a test.  You can also pay online for $102 using the link on the Guidance webpage.

Any high school student interested in being on a crew for Legally Blonde go to Mrs. Sweet's website to see what crew positions are available and email her with your interests.

Any middle school boy who is interested in playing soccer this Spring should look on the team webpage and make sure he is eligible and has all his Final Forms paperwork completed before tryouts begin on February 1st.

HS Cheer will sell smoothies at lunch on Friday for $6.00. 

Yesterday, Catie Waugh competed for the second year in a row in the TSSAA Individual State Championship. Out of 48 participating girls, Catie's combined score of 1,031 placed her 11th in the State of Tennessee. Congratulations to Catie on a wonderful bowling career at Central!

Congratulations to the Middle School Boys Basketball team on their win over Tullahoma West in the Area 9 Basketball Tournament.  The Tigers won 62-48.  Arden Lewis and Owen King Lead all scorers with 21 points apiece.  The Tigers will be back in action tonight at EO Coffman for the next round of the tournament.
