Rising Juniors and Seniors - Don't forget to apply for National English Honor Society. The application is completely online and can be found on the Central NEHS website or by scanning the QR code on the flyers in your English class. Applications are due by 3 PM on Friday, February 16th! Please email or see Mrs. Eubanks with questions or concerns.

Registration for the ACT Boot Camp has opened! The Boot Camp is designed to help students reach and exceed composite score goal of 25 on the ACT.  Registration for the 240 spots is open to all high school students, but priority will be given to our juniors in preparation for the state ACT on March 12.

No! This is not just like every ACT review you've had.  Our instructors have attended training sessions to help you learn some different strategies for attacking the test.

Flyers with dates and the QR code for registration are posted throughout the building, a link can also be accessed on the CMS home page.

Attention - SENIORS in Natl Spanish Honor Society. This is a reminder that if you'd like to order a cord for Graduation, you need to bring the $12 to either Sra. Kime or Sra. Pinson before March 1.

DECA will host a Middle School Dance on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the CMS Cafeteria. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 per student. Concessions will be available as well. DJ Corban will provide the music and Balloon Company by Lo will have a photo backdrop for students to take pictures.

The Central Magnet men's team picked up a big win on Senior night as they defeated the Giles County Bobcats by a score of 73-69.

The Tigers were led by Mason Brown with 23 points, Jake Maddox with 19 points and 12 rebounds and Will Becker with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Mason Brown and Will Becker hit 5 3 pointers each.

Garrret Florida chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds as well.

The Tigers will return to action on Thursday as they finish the regular season by hosting district leading Lawrence County.

The lady tigers improved to 19-9 last night by defeating Giles Co. 59-19. Addison Melton led all scorers with 16 points, Reilly McMillian had 11pts, Reese Martin added 10pts, Bethany Jackson with 9pts, Julia Stuible finished with 6pts, Madisen Stanley had 4 pts and Lia Reyes chipped in 3pts.

The lady tigers will be back in action at home Thursday night in a big district game vs Lawrence Co.

 We had a great weekend of County Championships.

 

On Saturday, our middle school team attended the Rutherford County Middle School Championships. Our boys placed 3rd, our girls placed 3rd, and our team placed 3rd overall. We’re very proud of that, especially considering our girls placed 3rd with only 4 girls at the meet. Here are some of our accolades from this meet.

Our high school team had a fabulous, long meet on Sunday at the Doris Coady Rutherford County Championships. Our Men placed 3rd, our women placed 2nd, and the team placed 2nd overall. It was a hard-fought meet and we’re very proud of our finish. Here are some of our accolades from this meet.
