ATTENTION all 6th graders! Are you a super speller? Would you like to showcase your skills against the rest of the class? Do you think you have what it takes to win the 2024 6th grade spelling bee? If you wish to participate, please fill out the interest form on Mrs. Stanley's website before 3pm on Monday, February 12. If you do not fill out the form, you cannot participate!
Registration for the ACT Boot Camp has opened! The Boot Camp is designed to help students reach and exceed composite score goal of 25 on the ACT. Registration for the 240 spots is open to all high school students, but priority will be given to our juniors in preparation for the state ACT on March 12.
No! This is not just like every ACT review you've had. Our instructors have attended training sessions to help you learn some different strategies for attacking the test.

DECA will host a Middle School Dance on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the CMS Cafeteria. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 per student. Concessions will be available as well. DJ Corban will provide the music and Balloon Company by Lo will have a photo backdrop for students to take pictures.

The Asian and Pacific Islander Student Organization invites everyone to join in celebration of the Lunar New Year today from 3:30 to 5 in the senior cafeteria! This event includes traditional and modern variants of foods, games/activities, and a presentation about the rich history of the Lunisolar Years!
Payments for AP Government, AP Macroeconomics & AP Microeconomics exams are taking place now. The deadline to pay for these spring exams is March 1. Students can pay online or in the Attendance office.

The lady tigers got a huge district win last night over Lawrence Co. 60-40. The win makes the lady tigers 8-2 in district play and gives them a 1st round bye in the district tournament next week.. The win also puts the lady tigers at 20-9 on the season and they just completed and undefeated season in our home gymnasium. We really appreciate our student body for making our home gym a tough place to play for opponents. Juilia Stuible and Addison Melton led the lady tigers with 13 pts each. Reilly McMillian and Bethany Jackson each added 12pts apiece. Madisen Stanley finished with 8pts and Lia Reyes chipped in 2pts. The lady tigers will next be in action on Friday, February 16th in the district tournament.
The Central Magnet Men's basketball team picked up a big win last night with a 55-43 victory of the Lawrence County Wildcats.
The Tigers were led by Owen Zubkus with 19 points, Garrett Florida with 10 points and 7 rebounds, Jake Maddox with 7 points and 9 rebounds, and Mason Brown with 7 points.
The win puts the Tigers in tie for 2nd place in the district.
The Tigers will return to action next week when they enter district tournament play.
