Rising Seniors planning on taking positive psychology next year need to pick up an application from Mr. Cowart, room #338 to complete before registering.

Rising Juniors & Seniors - Don't forget that this is the LAST week to apply to be a member of National English Honor Society for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications are due at 3 PM this Friday! You can find the application the Central NEHS website under Clubs & Activities, or by scanning the QR code on the flyers in your English classes. Please email Mrs. Eubanks with questions or concerns.

Seniors, Loveless will be at Central this Friday to take pictures for the following senior achievements: 4.0 GPA, Perfect 36, Valedictorians, and Salutatorians. Any senior who is on the list for one or more of these pictures should have received an email from Ms. Quinn with details. If you did not receive an email but believe you should be included, please see Ms. Quinn as soon as possible.

DECA will host a Middle School Dance on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the CMS Cafeteria. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 per student. Concessions will be available as well. DJ Corban will provide the music and Balloon Company by Lo will have a photo backdrop for students to take pictures.

HOSA is sponsoring a blood drive here at Central Magnet one week from today on Wednesday, February 21st. If you are 16 or older, you are welcome to sign up online to donate blood. If you are under 18, please make sure you get a parent permission form from Mrs. Hendrixson or Mrs. Harrison prior to the blood drive. You will not be able to donate blood without the signed parent permission form in hand. You can find the sign-up link on the Central webpage or on the HOSA webpage. See Mrs. Harrison or Mrs. Hendrixson if you have any questions.

Payments for AP Government, AP Macroeconomics & AP Microeconomics exams are taking place now.  The deadline to pay for these spring exams is March 1.  Students can pay online or in the Attendance office.

Juniors:  Check your email for important information about scheduling and the link to make your appointment with your counselor. Please make an e-hall pass for Guidance.

Middle School Mathematicians: Do you want to showcase your smarts? Sign up for the MTSU math competition on Mrs. Phillips’s website. The qualifying round will be next Wednesday during CT in room 230.

The high school musical Legally Blonde opens on Thursday, February 22nd! Performances are the 22-24 @7pm and 25th @5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. You can pay cash or check at the door or scan the QR code on the posters around school to buy on GoFan ahead of time. Come out and support your theatre department with this fun, high energy, and comedic show!

The Central Magnet Tigers improved to 17-12 on the season with a 55-48 victory last night over the Giles County Bobcats.

The Tigers were led by Owen Zubkus with 16 points and 8 rebounds, Mason Brown with 16 points, and Jake Maddox with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Garret Florida also chipped on 6 points.

The Tigers advance to the semi-finals of the 8AAA tournament where they will play Marshall County at 8:30 pm Friday night.

The Tigers would also like to congratulate Mason Brown and Owen Zubkus on being selected to the 8AAA All District Team.

HS Cheer competed at our NHSCC (National High School Cheer Competition) the past few days.  They advanced to finals for the second time in Central Magnet HS Cheer history.  They finished 7th in the Nation in the Varsity Medium Non-Tumbling division out of 18 teams.  Please congratulate them when you see them today. 

HS Cheer will sell smoothies at lunch on Friday.
