HS BETA Club is accepting applications! To be eligible, you must have a 3.5 GPA and complete the application found on the BETA website, which includes needing a teacher recommendation and completion of an essay. Attention middle schoolers: If you are planning to join us at First Priority during E club rotation on Wednesday, please sign up in Flex by your grade level. There will be 3 sign-ups total, one for 6th, 7th, and 8th; so please sign up according to your grade level. We will all be meeting in the same place, which is the upstairs teacher's lounge. The High school volleyball team opened district play With a convincing 3-0 win over Battle Creek. Senior Becca jerkins had 17 assists and 3 aces. Julia Stuible had 8 kills, 9 aces, and 4 blocks. The JV team also picked up a 2-1 win. Freshman Claire call had 6 aces.
The middle school cross-country team continued their excellent season by competing in the John Freeman Invitational, hosted by The Webb School in Bell Buckle on Friday night.
The girls team captured 3rd place in a field of 12. The boys team finished 1st among 14 teams.
Top finishers were Adelyn King, Elizabeth Hamilton, Philip Smith, and Max Metzger.
The team travels to the Hermitage this Friday to compete in the Midstate Cross-Country Association Championships.
CMS Trap will hold its first practice of the season on September 8Th, 2024 at Big Springs Clay Target Sports at 1:00. Trap is a sport for both men and women, and all CMS students are encouraged to attend. The team is coming off a fantastic season where the team not only won all its competitions but also set record highs for individual and team scores.
