Juniors and Seniors! Do you need help working on your resume? Come to our resume workshop this Friday during RTI to get help from your peers and National English Honor Society members with your resume--be it for scholarships, college admissions, jobs, or internships! Sign up in Flex and bring your laptop. This week will be in Mrs. Eubanks's room (104).
 
All students! Remember to sign up in Flex for a location for RTI time today!    If you only see the name of one teacher, that means that they have requested you and you need to report to their room during RTI.  If you see options, that means you can sign up for any teacher you have this semester.
 
Are you a middle school student interested in competing in a math competition?  Come to Tiger Time today during any lunch to meet the MATHCOUNTS coach, Dr. Ye, from MTSU.  Tiger Time meets in the Library Lab during all lunches 7th period.
 
It is National Voter Registration week! If you will be 18 before the November 5th election, be sure to get registered to vote. Rho Kappa members will be in the senior cafeteria this week to help anyone who would need help in the process. Please see Mr. Eldridge if you have any questions.
 
This is a reminder that applications for HS BETA Club are due to Mrs. SK this Friday! Please see the BETA website for more information if needed.
 
High Schoolers!  We are doing something different with class shirts this year!  As part of Spirit Day, you will have the opportunity to tie dye a white Central shirt in your class color.  You must order a shirt in order to tie dye!  Shirts can be purchased on SchoolCash between now and 12:00 pm Tuesday, September 24th.  See the Central website, the scrolling announcements, or Instagram for more information! 
 
HS BETA members! HS BETA is collecting gift cards and school supplies for families in need! We will be collecting these items for all of September! Please turn in these materials to Mrs. SK, Mrs. Givens, or Mrs. Schroeder and make sure to sign for your hours in Mrs. SK's room (116)!
 
Juniors and Prom Committee- Please remember to bring canned drinks and bottled water to Mrs. Phillips room for Pig Out! Send an email to Mrs. Phillips or Mrs. Kime with any questions.
 
High School Student Council is selling yard signs! Show your Tiger Spirit with a Central Magnet Yard Sign! There are over 20 different designs that include Fine Arts, Sports Teams, and General Central signs. There is a design for congratulating the Class of 2025. We even have a sign for Grandparents! They will be on sale until Friday, October 25th.  Check out the flyer on the CMS website or Instagram for the designs. Yard signs will be ordered after the purchase deadline and should be available for pick up at school before Thanksgiving Break.
 
Seniors:  This is free application week in TN.  After you complete an application, come to Guidance and sign a transcript form.
 
There will be an archery parent and informational meeting on Monday, September 23rd at 5:30 in the main cafeteria.  Please try to attend as I will be discussing how to get signed up for archery, practices, tournament schedule, expectations and much more.
 
The CMS Ultimate Frisbee Team will have an interest meeting in Room 126 on Tuesday, September 24th right after school. Come by and Disc in!
 
An interest meeting for High School Tennis will be held on Tuesday September 24 at 6:15pm in the senior cafeteria. If you are unable to attend, a powerpoint will be made available after the meeting on the High School tennis webpage.  
 
Tennis tryouts will be in late October- specific dates to be announced soon.
 
The HS girls' basketball team is looking for a couple of basketball managers for the upcoming season. If you are interested, and or have questions about the responsibilities please come and see Coach Bush.
 
Another win for Middle School Tennis sees both the teams and all singles players undefeated going in to their last 4 games, all next week. Congratulations to all these players and good luck heading into the final week of the season.
 
The high school volleyball team moved to 5-0 in district play Thursday night winning in straight sets over Battle Creek. Emery Bland led the way with 16 kills and 6 digs. Claire Clancy had 6 kills and 9 digs. Maddie Porter chipped in 15 assists, 8 digs and 6 kills. The Tigers travel to Coffee County for the Dream for Weave Southern Slam on Saturday.
