High Schoolers! Student Council is hosting a tailgate on Tuesday, October 1st before the Volleyball game versus Community! We will have a Spike Ball tournament - check your email for the link to signup. The winners will receive season passes to the Central basketball games and an item from the concessions! Kona Ice will also be in attendance and will be donating 20% of their sales to purchase additional stuffed animals for the stuffed animal drive for Asher's Animals.
High School will be playing Dodgeball! Each grade level will have 2 teams consisting of 4 boys and 4 girls each. Teams will be formed in a first come first serve basis. Check your email for the link to the permission slip and more information!

High School Student Council is selling yard signs! Show your Tiger Spirit with a Central Magnet Yard Sign! There are over 20 different designs that include Fine Arts, Sports Teams, and General Central signs. There is a design for congratulating the Class of 2025. We even have a sign for Grandparents! They will be on sale until Friday, October 25th. Check out the flyer on the CMS website or Instagram for the designs. Yard signs will be ordered after the purchase deadline and should be available for pick up at school before Thanksgiving Break.
College Corner has a great line-up coming up on Tuesday, Oct. 1! Tennesse Tech, Harding University, and the University of Alabama at Huntsville will all be present. Stop by to visit them and get all your questions answered.
Attention All Students: We will have Reading Rooms available during Friday’s Spirit Day activities for students who prefer to spend their day in a quieter atmosphere, away from the noise and crowds. STARTING TUESDAY, you may sign up in Flex to be in a Reading Room. If you need help securing a spot, see Ms. Dixon. Keep in mind that with the exception of going to the restroom, students who sign up for a Reading Room are to remain there until the next activity.
The HS girls' basketball team is looking for a couple of basketball managers for the upcoming season. If you are interested, and or have questions about the responsibilities please come and see Coach Bush.
Shout out to some of our soccer players: Sofia Kime scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Blackman. Gabby Woods had a goal and an assist, Kristin Dean scored a goal, and Lillie Bryant had two assists. Way to go Tigers!
Hello students, basketball season is just around the corner. If you would like to purchase a season pass, then please go see Coach Bush or Coach Worsley. Student season passes are $35 which is over half price. If you would also like to purchase a season pass for your parents, they will be $65 which is a $15 savings. Please keep in mind that adults cannot get into the games with a student pass. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing the best student section in Tennessee at the games this season!
The high school cross country JV team ran a soggy but successful meet at the Burnett Invitational in Cookeville this past weekend! Rachel Benefield, Jason Dyer, Edan Pingitore, Collier Pawlowski, Gavin Mercado, and Carlos Aguiar Alfonzo all won medals for scoring in the top 20 runners in their respective races. The boys won 3rd place overall! Congratulations to all our runners! Please make sure to wish them luck as they travel to the Jesse Owens meet in Oakville, AL, this coming weekend!
The boys tennis team continues their winning streak with their win against Blackman last Thursday while the girls suffered their first defeat. The final two rescheduled games take place this week before the district tournament. Good luck Tigers
Congratulations to the middle school cross-country team. On Sunday, the boys took 1st of 21 teams and the girls took 2nd out of 14 teams at the TMSAA Sectional meet. Both teams secured a spot at the state championship on Saturday, October 5. You will meet this outstanding group at the pep rally on Friday. They are excited to represent CMS at the state meet once again.
