High Schoolers! Student Council is hosting a tailgate on Tuesday, October 1st before the Volleyball game versus Community! We will have a Spike Ball tournament - check your email for the link to signup. The winners will receive season passes to the Central basketball games and an item from the concessions! Kona Ice will also be in attendance and will be donating 20% of their sales to purchase additional stuffed animals for the stuffed animal drive for Asher's Animals.
High School will be playing Dodgeball! Each grade level will have 2 teams consisting of 4 boys and 4 girls each. Teams will be formed in a first come first serve basis. Check your email for the link to the permission slip and more information!
DECA will be selling pizza at the Tailgate event from 3:30-5:00 p.m. after school in the school parking lot. Stop by and support your CMS DECA chapter. $2.00 a slice.

College Corner has a great line-up coming up on Tuesday, Oct. 1! Tennessee Tech, Harding University, and the University of Alabama at Huntsville will all be present. Stop by to visit them and get all your questions answered.
A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Smoke detectors should be located on every floor of your home and near all places that you and your family sleep. Smoke detector batteries should be changed on a regular basis.
Attention All Students: We will have Reading Rooms available during Friday’s Spirit Day activities for students who prefer to spend their day in a quieter atmosphere, away from the noise and crowds. STARTING TUESDAY, you may sign up in Flex to be in a Reading Room. If you need help securing a spot, see Ms. Dixon. Keep in mind that with the exception of going to the restroom, students who sign up for a Reading Room are to remain there until the next activity.

The Middle School Boys basketball team will be having a fall tryout for anyone that was not able to attend the spring tryout. The tryout will be on Monday Oct. 14 from 5 to 6:30 at CMS gym.
Hello students, basketball season is just around the corner. If you would like to purchase a season pass, then please go see Coach Bush or Coach Worsley. Student season passes are $35 which is over half price. If you would also like to purchase a season pass for your parents, they will be $65 which is a $15 savings. Please keep in mind that adults cannot get into the games with a student pass. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing the best student section in Tennessee at the games this season!
The Central Magnet girls’ golf team is STATE BOUND! The Tigers have won their third consecutive Regional Title and will compete for a State Championship next week in Sevierville, TN. Emery Mitchell won low medalist with a 73, including winning a three-way playoff for 1st place! Anna Powell added a 76 and Lauren Powell shot a 78.
The high school volleyball team dropped a tough one on Monday night to a very good Riverdale team; 25-20, 25-23, 25-20. Julia Stuible had 8 kills and 6 blocks, Margo Ihrie had a season high 16 digs, and Emery Bland had 9 kills and 9 digs. Your volleyball team looks to stay undefeated in district play tonight here at home versus Community. Make sure to come out and support as the post season push begins.
The JV volleyball team played one of their most complete matches on Monday night against Riverdale. They were led by Allie Copeland’s 6 assists, 3 digs and 2 aces. Ava Douglas led the way with 4 kills.
The Central Magnet Middle School Soccer Team ended their season at the Rutherford County Tournament. Abigail Junkins was named all-conference and Camila Sandes was named to the all-tournament team for their play during that portion of the season.
Congrats to the Central Magnet Middle School Cross Country Teams who will be heading to the
TMSAA Cross Country Meet at Weakley Park in Clarksville on Saturday October 5th.

College, the boys team won the Section 3-A title with a total of 53 points.

The girls came in second being nipped by Merrol Hyde by four points 73-77.
Top girls finishers were sixth grader Adelyn King and three eighth graders Elizabeth Hamilton, Madelyn Strickland, Amelia Bogle.
