There is a mandatory meeting Thursday, October 3rd in the main cafeteria. If you are planning on attending convention, you must be at this meeting. It will promptly start at 3:10 and will end by 3:30. If you are unable to be at the meeting, please see on of the officers.

High School Student Council is selling yard signs! Show your Tiger Spirit with a Central Magnet Yard Sign! There are over 20 different designs that include Fine Arts, Sports Teams, and General Central signs. There is a design for congratulating the Class of 2025. We even have a sign for Grandparents! They will be on sale until Friday, October 25th. Check out the flyer on the CMS website or Instagram for the designs. Yard signs will be ordered after the purchase deadline and should be available for pick up at school before Thanksgiving Break.
This week is German-American week, and we are sharing fun facts about the German speaking world. Tag der Deutschen Einheit (Day of German Unity) is observed every year on October 3rd. This is the German national holiday and celebrates the 1990 reunification of former East and West Germany, which had been separated after World War 2.
Remember, you should look for a German-themed trivia card which we have placed in several places throughout the school (hint: bulletin boards). Once you find the card, bring it to Ms. Boost in room 103, answer the question correctly, and receive a prize!
A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Smoke detectors should be located on every floor of your home and near all places that you and your family sleep. Smoke detector batteries should be changed on a regular basis.
Remember to get the SF1010 form in the Attendance office by Friday if you plan to get your Driver's Permit over the Fall Break
Attention All Students: We will have Reading Rooms available during Friday’s Spirit Day activities for students who prefer to spend their day in a quieter atmosphere, away from the noise and crowds. STARTING TUESDAY, you may sign up in Flex to be in a Reading Room. If you need help securing a spot, see Ms. Dixon. Keep in mind that with the exception of going to the restroom, students who sign up for a Reading Room are to remain there until the next activity.

The Middle School Boys basketball team will be having a fall tryout for anyone that was not able to attend the spring tryout. The tryout will be on Monday Oct. 14 from 5 to 6:30 at CMS gym.
Hello students, basketball season is just around the corner. If you would like to purchase a season pass, then please go see Coach Bush or Coach Worsley. Student season passes are $35 which is over half price. If you would also like to purchase a season pass for your parents, they will be $65 which is a $15 savings. Please keep in mind that adults cannot get into the games with a student pass. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing the best student section in Tennessee at the games this season!
