Students interested in math, Dr. Ye will return to 7th period Tiger Time all lunches tomorrow.  All students are invited to come, especially middle school students interested in MATHCOUNTS competition.
Students, tomorrow is club picture day. As usual, club pictures will be taken in the gym throughout the morning. You can find the final version of the club picture schedule on the CMS homepage.
There are a few very important details to remember for club pictures:
1. You will need to create an auto pass each time you leave class for a club picture.
2. Club pictures are taken AT THE TIME listed on the picture schedule, so you will need to leave class 2-3 minutes early. If you are late, you will miss your opportunity to be in that picture.
3. We do not have extra space in the gym to accommodate students who are more than 2-3 minutes early, so any student who arrives earlier than that will be sent back to class.
4. Be sure you know the camera number for your picture before arriving at the gym. This will make it much easier for you to figure out where you need to be once you get to the gym. You can find this number on the picture schedule.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ms. Quinn.
College Corner will host Sewanee, Princeton, and the University of Florida on Tuesday, October 22 during C and D lunches. Stop by and visit with these great college reps!
High school students:  you must pay and register for your AP exams by Nov. 1.  You can pay by check or cash in the Attendance office or pay online using school cash.  For more information, see the Guidance testing webpage.
Hello students, basketball season is just around the corner. If you would like to purchase a season pass, then please go see Coach Bush or Coach Worsley. Student season passes are $35 which is over half price. If you would also like to purchase a season pass for your parents, they will be $65 which is a $15 savings. Please keep in mind that adults cannot get into the games with a student pass. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing the best student section in Tennessee at the games this season!
The first annual CMS co-ed volleyball tournament will be on Saturday, November 9th. Students are invited to build teams to enter and compete for a $400 prize package. Teams must consist of four players: two boys and two girls. Both middle and high school students are welcome, but all members of your team must be students at Central. It is $40/team ($10/player) to enter in the tournament. Please see or contact Coach Russell for permission forms and questions.
Your school tennis team had 2 big days in the district tournament. In the team tournament Tuesday, girls brought home the 3rd place trophy, and the boys were, once again, district champions!  All of the singles played well, with the girls making it to the quarter finals. The boys semi-final matches all had Central players. Arjun Sood and teammate Veer Kodali had an excellent and exciting to watch match in one semi-final, and Neel Kodali beat his MTCS opponent in his semi-final match. The ultimate final was between Veer and Neel Kodali, with Veer taking the championship and Nell the runner-up, in a close match.
These players represented themselves and Central Magnet well this season. Please congratulate them when you see them.
