Seniors - If you already qualify or want to qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy or Seal of Bilingualism, the time has come to complete the mandatory paperwork. Ms. Dixon will hold a meeting at 3:15 in room #221 on Thursday, January 16th to walk you through filling out the forms.
Are you interested in being a peer tutor in Writing Lab next school year? We are now accepting applications for current sophomores and juniors who are interested in adding Writing Lab to their schedule next year. Copies of the application are available with your English teacher or with Mrs. Eubanks in room 104. Email or see Mrs. Eubanks with any questions! Applications are due February 7th.
DECA members are presenting a Community Giving Project for the DECA.  Their chosen organization to sponsor is Kymari House. Kymari House provides court-ordered supervised visitation with parents and children. The goal of this project is to hold a toy/supply drive. Currently accepting gently used toys, art/school supplies, and books. Bring donations to Room 210 by January 24.
Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society is offering tutoring during Thursday's RTIs. Starting next week, visit our members in Mr. Eldridge's room (115) and get advice on essay questions such as the DBQ, memorization techniques, and study habits for any Social Studies course for middle and high school. Visit Mr. Eldridge's website or the Rho Kappa website to fill out the link and view our options.
High School is playing volleyball on Homecoming Day.  Open your Remind Messages for access to the permission form if you'd like to play or coach. You can also pick up a permission form from Ms. Dixon. Forms are due by 3:00pm on Tuesday, January 21st.
The JV high school boys basketball team picked up another win last night in OVERTIME versus the visitors from Franklin County.  Final score, 52 to 46.  The team was led by Owen King who had 11 points.  Henry Long, Isaac Messick, and Nathan Deinard all were in double figures with ten points each.  Defensively, the Tigers were led by Brady Moore, who took two charges, and Tate Morris who took one.  The team improves to 5-4 and looks to pick up another victory tonight on the road versus Community.

The High School Boys JV Basketball team came up short last night against Community falling 60-49. Owen King led all scorers with 23 points on the night. Nathan Deinard also was in double digits with 11 points. The Tigers drop to 5 and 5 on the season. Next up is Tullahoma on the road this Friday night.
Two very exciting announcements from the High School Softball Team: Freeze dried candy and fruits will be available again today for a pre-order. Stop by the table in the cafeteria to pick out your Tiger Treat today and next Tuesday.
Also, tonight is Spirit Night at The Boulevard. 15% of your purchase will go to support the softball team. Stop by anytime between 5-9 and mention CMS when paying your bill. The offer is good for both dine-in and carryout.
The Central Magnet Men's basketball team fought a hard fought contest last night at Community High School but came up short and lost 58-44.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Carter Sage with 9 points, Braylon Payne with 8 points and Hollis Jackson chipping in 7 points.
The Tigers return to action on Friday night when they travel to Tullahoma to take on the Wildcats in a District 12AAA matchup.
The Stones River Car Club is in need of high school volunteers to help with the Swap Meet on February 1st and 2nd at the Nashville Fairgrounds in the main building. The hours are 5:15-3:00 pm. You can attend one or both days. See Mrs. Culp if you have any questions.
