Applications are now open for the upcoming Yearbook class. This year, all students interested in joining the Yearbook team must submit a formal application, which includes an English teacher recommendation, to Ms. Quinn in room 227. Applications for yearbook can be obtained from the Guidance Office or from Ms. Quinn. The deadline for submitting an application is 3 P.M. on Tuesday, February 11th. If you have any questions about the application process or the Yearbook class, please see Ms. Quinn for more information.
Students interested in taking Positive Psychology next year should see their guidance counselor or Mr. Cowart for an application. Deadline is March 1st.
All students! National English Honor Society will be selling Soda Grams for Valentine's Day! Send them to your friends, secret crushes, and people you admire and appreciate! Soda Grams will be $1 and will be sold during all lunches the week of Valentine's Day! Your note and a soda will be delivered the morning of Valentine's Day in 1st Period!
The TableTop Board Game Club is accepting new members. They meet every Thursday after school in the upstairs faculty lounge and meetings go until 4:30pm. They play a variety of board games, trading card games, and would love to welcome you. The Club is open to Middle and High School so come join us and join the fun. If you are a member of TSA and you have not talked to Mr. Guthrie about the upcoming TSA State Conference, please see him as soon as possible. The due date for signing up for the state conference is next Friday.

The middle school swim team competed in the annual county championship meet this past weekend. The boys' team finished 3rd out of 8 teams, as it came down to the last event in the meet. Top finishers include Gavin Chen who finished 1st in 100 Fly and 2nd in 200 IM. Max Patel finished 2nd in 100 Back and 3rd in 500 Free, Quinnten Curnes finished 2nd in 100 Breast. The A relay, which consisted of Gavin Chen, Quinnten Curnes, Max Patel, and Judah Faz finished 1st in 200 IM Relay and 3rd in the 400 Free Relay.
The girls' team finished 6th out of 8 teams. Top finishers include Lorelai Richardson who finished 2nd in 200 IM and 3rd in 100 breaststroke. Emily Guess finished 3rd in 100 fly.
The combined girls and boys teams finished 5th overall. Congratulations!
High School state qualifiers, Cameron Conley, Evie Riley, and Sara Grace Terrell, will compete in the 2025 State Championships this weekend at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. We wish you good luck!
