Students interested in taking Positive Psychology next year should see their guidance counselor or Mr. Cowart for an application. Deadline is March 1st.
Applications for next year's Yearbook class close tomorrow. This year, all students interested in joining the Yearbook team must submit an application, which includes an English teacher recommendation, to Ms. Quinn in room 227. Applications for yearbook can be obtained from Guidance or from Ms. Quinn. The deadline for submitting an application is 3 P.M. tomorrow. If you have any questions about the application process or the Yearbook class, please see Ms. Quinn.
New HS Beta Club Members, we will have Induction during B club rotation on February 10th. There will be cupcakes to celebrate! Let Mrs. SK know if you have any questions.
DECA is sponsoring a Middle School Valentines Dance on Friday, February 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Admission $10
Tickets will be sold at the door.
Theme: Red and White Night.
Concessions will be sold as well.
Attention high school students: Young Life is having its Valentine's club tonight at Brass Horn. The fun will begin at 7:30 pm. We hope to see you there!
Attention middle school boys: First Priority leaders invite you to join small groups starting this Thursday at 7:25 am in Mr. Lanier's room.
Soda Grams will be sold every day this week through Thursday! You can buy a valentine and a soda to send to anyone in the building for $1! All money raised goes to National English Honor Society’s charity, Books from Birth. You can purchase in the gym before school or during C & D lunch outside of guidance. All sodas and soda grams will be delivered through 1st period teachers on Friday for Valentines Day!!

The JV boys basketball team defeated Marshall County Friday by the score of 47 to 40. The Tigers were able to complete the sweep after defeating Marshall County earlier in the season as well. Central was led by Owen King with 16 points, Kai Jones had 8, and Henry Long and Nathan Deinard each had 7. The win improves the team’s record to 9-8 on the season with two games remaining.
Congratulations to our CMS Archers that participated in the tournament this past weekend. The HS Team placed 1st in the Bullseye Tournament and 3rd in the 3D Tournament, while the MS Team placed 7th in the Bullseye Tournament.  Individually in the Bullseye tournament, Luciana Spivey-Palacios place 5th in the MS Female Division, Jesse Blunkall placed 3rd and Rachel Benefield placed 1st in the HS Female Division and Jackson Harris placed 1st in the HS Male Division. In the 3D Tournament, Ava Edwards placed 5th and Rachel Benefield placed 1st in the HS Female Division and Jackson Harris placed 4th in the HS Male Division. 
The Lady Tigers lost a tough game vs Marshall Co. last Friday dropping their district record to 3-5. The lady tigers were led in scoring by Bethany Jackson with 12pts, Madisen Stanley added 9pts and Julia Stuible added 7pts. The Lady Tigers will be back in action tomorrow night at Giles Co.
