Students interested in taking Positive Psychology next year should see their guidance counselor or Mr. Cowart for an application. Deadline is March 1st.
Today is the last day to submit your application for the upcoming Yearbook class. Applications for yearbook can be obtained from your guidance counselor or from Ms. Quinn. The deadline for submitting your application to Ms. Quinn is 3 P.M. this afternoon.
If you enjoy Creative Writing: poetry, stories, and more, then join the Creative Writing Club in writing to our fun prompts available on our club website. Better yet, when you see your guidance counselor for class signups for next school year, let them know you want to take Creative Writing as a class!
Any High Schooler that would like to take an exam to qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy should see Ms. Dixon THIS WEEK to register/pay for the assessment. The test date is Friday, Feb. 21st.
DECA is sponsoring a Middle School Valentines Dance on Friday, February 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Admission $10
Tickets will be sold at the door.
Theme: Red and White Night.
Concessions will be sold as well.
Soda Grams will be sold every day this week through Thursday! You can buy a valentine and a soda to send to anyone in the building for $1! All money raised goes to National English Honor Society’s charity, Books from Birth. You can purchase in the gym before school or during C & D lunch outside of guidance. All sodas and soda grams will be delivered through 1st period teachers on Friday for Valentines Day!!

The high school state swim team competed this past weekend at the beautiful Alen Jones Aquatic Center at the University of Tennessee. Senior Cameron Conley broke two school records, including his own 200 freestyle record, by shaving an additional second off his time. He also set a new school record in the 500 freestyle by finishing the race in under five minutes, placing 23rd in the state.
Junior Sara Grace Terrell participated in both the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle events. She improved her times in both races and finished 20th overall in the state in the 500 freestyle. Junior Evie Riley competed in the 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle races, achieving a personal best in the 100 butterfly. Congratulations!
This concludes the swim season for the Tigers. They will celebrate the season with a banquet in the cafeteria on Monday, March 3rd at 5:30 PM.
