Any High Schooler that would like to take an exam to qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy should see Ms. Dixon THIS WEEK to register/pay for the assessment. The test date is Friday, Feb. 21st.

Better yet, when you see your guidance counselor for class signups for next school year, let them know you want to take Creative Writing as a class!

Soda Grams will be sold every day this week through Thursday! You can buy a valentine and a soda to send to anyone in the building for $1! All money raised goes to National English Honor Society’s charity, Books from Birth. You can purchase in the gym before school or during C & D lunch outside of guidance. All sodas and soda grams will be delivered through 1st period teachers on Friday for Valentines Day!!
Beads for Charity will be having their Valentines sale tomorrow morning, Thursday the 13th. They will be introducing a new product alongside rings for this Valentines seasons. They raised $450 last semester and are hoping to reach a goal of a thousand dollars by the end of the year. Come out and buy a gift for your loved ones while supporting Vanderbilt Children's Hospital!

The JV boys basketball team lost a close one last at Giles County by the score of 41-35. Owen King led all scorers on the night with 15 points, Kai Jones had six, and Henry Long, Nathan Deinard, and Yaw Gyamfi each had 4 points. The team fought hard but could not overcome an early deficit. The final JV game will be on Thursday at Lawrence County.
Congratulations to the HS cheer squad. They competed at the National High School Cheer Championships this weekend, advancing all the way to finals. They finished 6th in the nation, competing against 21 of the best teams in the division. Please congratulate them on this exciting accomplishment.
The Central Magnet Men's Basketball team went to Giles County last but dropped a tough loss to the Bobcats 71-52.
The Tigers were led by Hollis Jackson and Kason Puffer with 10 points each, Isaac Messick with 9 points, and Tate Morris with 8 points.
The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Lawrence County in their final regular season game.
