Juniors will be taking the ACT at Central on Tuesday, March 11th. With parent permission, students may leave school upon completion. Your English class will be handing out the permission forms and they will be available in attendance. Please turn these in to attendance by Monday, March 10th. We will not be accepting phone calls, texts and emails the day of the test.
Are you yearning for Spring Break? Come with us this weekend to enjoy the dancing streets of 1920s Paris! Anastasia performances are Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm. You can enjoy a quick trip to St. Petersburg and Paris from the comfort of the Central Magnet auditorium. Student tickets are only $5 and available online and at the door.

Club Sandwich is having its First Annual Sandwich Competition. This is for anyone at Central, both Middle and High School. You need not have been to a club meeting this year to participate. There will be sandwich related prizes for the winners. See the Club Sandwich website for specific rules and to sign up.
Rising 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for Middle School Cheer next season, please stop by room 225, to pick up an interest packet. Candidates and a parent need to attend the meeting March 20th at 630 in the Senior cafeteria. Go Tigers
The high school men's soccer team opened the regular season with a 0-0 tie against Siegel HS last night. Will Clark put in a man of the match performance at Center Back and Isaiah Phillips had 6 saves in goal. The team will play Page tomorrow at Richard Siegel Park in the stadium.
The high school softball team opened their 2025 season Tuesday night with a 15-3 victory over Harpeth Hall in Nashville. Rachel Plondke pitched a complete game- scattering 5 hits over 5 innings and only allowing 2 earned runs. Seniors Taylor Nickerson and Megan Weber led the offensive onslaught driving in 4 and 3 respectively. Nickerson, Sophia Croasdaile, and Elle Foss all picked up multiple hits in the contest. The team returns to action tonight with a trip to Webb School, but Friday night will be their home opener at the newly renovated Tiger Field at Buchanan. There will be live music, food trucks, cornhole, spikeball, face painting and other activities. Make plans to attend.
