Rising Juniors and Seniors -- Don't forget that this Friday at 3 PM is the deadline to apply for National English Honor Society for next year. The application is completely digital, but it will close at 3 PM. You can get to the application through the NEHS website on the Central website or by scanning the QR code in your English classes. Please see Mrs. Eubanks with any questions. Late applications will not be accepted.
The juniors will be able to leave campus following the ACT on March 18th with parent permission. The English teachers will hand out these permission forms. They will also be available in the attendance office. Please turn in these forms by March 17th. We will not be able to accept phone calls and texts the day of the test.
The Musical Theatre Club is hosting its annual Musical Theatre Showcase this Friday at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Admission is free, so please come support our Central Magnet Theatre Department
Middle School is playing kickball on the Spring Spirit Day. Each grade can form 2 teams of 10 players. Permission forms should be picked up from and returned to the folders outside Mrs. Phillips's room by Friday, March 21st.

Today is the last day to submit kickball forms for the middle school spirit day! Forms can be submitted to the folder outside Mrs. Phillips's room. Teams will be posted next week.
After Prom tickets are on sale now! Registration is ONLINE, and ticket pick-up begins next week during C&D lunch on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The registration link is on the Prom Information page of the Central website. Pick up YOUR ticket next week to avoid long lines! Tickets are $25.
HS Cheer will have a mandatory parent meeting on March 24th at 6 pm in the senior cafeteria for anyone interested in trying out for HS Cheer.  1 parent and the student-athlete must attend the meeting.  Tryout packets are available in Coach Griggs's room (335 in the annex).
Football is back!  Wednesday March 19th is the first ever TSSAA varsity girls flag football game in Rutherford County History!  There will be 2 games played at 6 pm vs. Smyrna and 8 pm vs Rockvale.
 Both games will be played at Rockvale High School.  Come support the newest TSSAA sport and our Tigers football team. 
The JV football team will play vs. Blackman at 4:45 on Monday March 17th at Rockvale High School.
The Central Varsity Middle School Boys Soccer Team battled with Stewarts Creek on Thursday but conceded a late goal to drop the match 1-0. The Central Junior Varsity tied Stewarts Creek JV in a scoreless draw. The Tigers play at Siegel and Oakland next week.
Tiger tennis brought home another district win yesterday against rockvale, winning twenty six of twenty seven matches played. They face off with smyrna and ensworth next week.
The JV men's soccer team defeated Rockvale High School 1-0 on Wednesday night.  Carson Phillips had the lone goal, and Paden Bontrager kept the clean sheet in goal.
Both JV and Varsity Soccer teams host Nolensville tonight.  JV plays at 4 pm with Varsity to follow at 5:30. As always, Central students get in free.
The Baseball Tigers knocked off 4A power Jefferson County by a score of 9-7. The Tigers stole 8 bases and executed the bunting game to put pressure on Jefferson County. John Roth led the offense with two hits. Elijah Bonner and Truitt Surbaugh both had big two out hits to score runs. Jefferson Co loaded the bases with 1 out in the bottom of the 7th but Tate Morris came in and induced a 6-4-3 double play to get the save. The Tigers got good pitching from Collin Wind, Joseph Rowell, and Jon- Mical Courtney. The Tigers play Kirkwood at Science Hill at 12:00 central time today.
The high school softball team has had a busy week. On Tuesday they traveled to Marshall County and suffered a 15-2 loss. Senior Megan Weber connected on her first career homerun. The lady tigers defeated LaVergne on Wednesday evening by a score of 17-2. Paige Simmons led the way going 2 for 2 with a triple. Last night saw a pitcher's duel with Central dropping a 1-0 decision to Franklin County. Pitcher Rachel Plondke had her best career outing, striking out 5 through 5 innings and only allowing 2 hits and the one run. Freshman Sophia Croasdaile was 2/3 at the dish with a double. The softball team will host Blackman at TigerPlex on Monday night.
