High School Students: The PSAT test will be October 21. Registration to take the PSAT has begun. The cost to take the test is $18. You can register in attendance or sign up online. Do you know how many minutes are in a year? If that question put a song in your head, you should come join Musical Theatre club! We meet before school, every other Friday, at 7:30 AM in the Theatre Room. This Friday is our first week back, and we'd love to have you join us while we revel all things musical theatre.
Members of Psi Alpha we are holding a year-round donation to Nourish food bank. If you bring in a donation it counts as one point per semester. Feel free to bring in more than that though! Bring your donations into Mr. Cowart's room #338.
Make sure you stop by UNICEFs club bake sale during c and d lunch this week! Profits will be sent to UNICEF USA to help fund their global efforts to help children in need. They will have assorted desserts through Friday!
Do you have a love for stories or poetry? Consider joining the High School Creative Writing Club! This year, we are partnering with IngramSpark, a local publishing company. We will visit them on a field trip, and we will publish an anthology with them! We meet on F rotation and Tuesdays after school from 3 to 4 in Mrs. Burrows's room, room 336, starting August 26th!

Applications are now live for the 2025-26 school year to become a member of Rho Kappa, the Honor Society for Social Studies. Rho Kappa members participate in social studies-related community service, National History Day, and help advance the field of history, government, economics, geography, psychology, and many other areas. The application can be found on Mr. Eldridge's website and is due in room 115 no later than 3 pm on Friday, September 29th. No applications will be accepted after that time!
The last day to change to a different class is Friday, August 22. The last day to change levels in a class is Friday, Sept. 5. Change forms are outside of Guidance.
Seniors: If you have not scheduled a senior meeting with your counselor, please do that today! You should have received an email with a Sign-Up Genius link to schedule an appointment. PLEASE make note of that appointment time and show up a minute or two early; do not wait to be called from class. We will discuss senior year, your plans after high school, and more.
Bowling tryouts will be held on Tuesday, September 2 from 4:00-5:30 at Lanes, Trains, and Automobiles. No experience is required. Boys or girls in grades 8-12 may try out. You must have a physical, and all forms must be completed and uploaded into Final Forms before trying out. Please contact Coach Snow if you have questions.
High School Cheer is excited to host a Central Magnet Talent Show on September 13th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM! Each cheerleader will invite one performer to join the show. If you have a talent and haven’t been contacted yet, please reach out to a cheerleader or stop by room 335 by August 27th.
We have 23 performance spots available! The winner and runner-up will receive prizes and bragging rights. To participate, submit a video of your act in advance for approval.
This event is a fundraiser to support the cheer squad’s trip to nationals. Tickets will be sold on GoFan. The winner will be decided by audience votes—each $1 in your bucket counts as one vote. We’ll celebrate both the winner and runner-up at the end of the night.
