Any high school student interested in earning the Seal of Biliteracy is invited to come to an informational meeting with Ms. Dixon in room #221 on Monday, Sept. 8th at 3:15. Seniors are especially encouraged to attend.
Attention Juniors and Seniors - do you need help with your resume for college or job applications? Come to National English Honor Society's resume workshop and get help from peer-tutors with creating, editing, or refining your resume! Our first workshop will take place Thursday, September 11th during RTI in Mrs. Eubanks' room. Sign up in Flex!
Are you a middle school student who loves math? Join the MATHCOUNTS competition team. Come to Tiger Time in room 131 this Friday during your 7th period study time. Dr. Ye from MTSU will be here to coach.
Attention high school students: Young life club begins tonight at 6 pm! We will be meeting at the sports com pavilion. It is color war - so please wear white. See you soon!
Middle School Spikeball Club meets next Monday. To participate, you must have a physical dated April 15th or later uploaded to final forms AND be added to the TEAMS group. For help with either of those, email Mrs. Phillips.
High school students, are you interested in Architecture, Engineering or Construction? The ACE Mentoring Club is for you. You will be designing a project throughout the year, get to visit local construction projects and have the opportunity to earn scholarship money. Join the ACE Mentoring Club on Wednesday, Sept. 10th from 3:15 to 5:00 pm in room 131 to learn more about this club. Please see Mr. Bonanno with any questions.
Do you enjoy business, finance, marketing, or hospitality? If so, any aspiring or existing DECA members, make sure to turn in your forms, pay your dues, and secure your spot for competition. You can get the forms from Mrs. Crawley-Harrison in room 210 or go to the CMS DECA club webpage.
Are you a girl interested in STEM, public speaking, and community outreach? Join Potentia 360@CMS! We are partnered with local non-profit Potentia 360 and we are dedicated to empowering female students interested in pursuing a career in STEM fields. We will be hosting speakers to inform members of possible career paths, as well as participating in community service projects. First meeting after school on September 18th from 3:15 to 4:30 in room 347! Bring your friends!
Come to the Tiger Talent show on Saturday, September 12th, from 5:30- 8:30 PM, hosted by HS Cheer. Some of Central's most talented students will be performing.  Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at the door, and the link is on the CMS website on the HS Cheer page. Votes will be $1.00 each, so bring some money to vote for your favorites.  Proceeds will help your cheerleaders fund their Nationals trip.   
College Corner will host Vanderbilt, Embry-Riddle, MTSU, and Tennessee State University this week, Tuesday, Sept. 9 during C and D lunches. Stop by to ask any questions, show your interest, and pick up some information.
Seniors will go to the Auditorium for Advisory on Tuesday. All students should sit with their Advisory classes.
CMS Archery will have the beginning of the year parent meeting on September 23rd at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. This meeting is for parents of current team members and those interested in joining the team. Students, please make sure your parents attend this important meeting.
The high school cross country team ran a fantastic race at the Voyles Classic this past weekend! The boys' team won 1st place in their division in both the varsity and JV races, and the girls' team placed 3rd! 
In the girls' race, Rachel Benefield came in 3rd, Catherine Zubkus came in 7th, and Georgia McCasland came in 17th. All three ladies received medals! 
In the boys' JV race, Xander Griffen came in 3rd and Sawyer Evans came in 5th, and both of them were awarded medals as well!
Finally, in the boys' varsity race, runners who medaled were Blake Nutter who came in 2nd, Aaden Walker 4th, Harrison Hamby 5th, Nate Dyer 6th, Jason Dyer 9th, Carson Phillips 10th, Parker Ward 12th, and Luca Guevart 20th.
The top 10 runners in both varsity races were recognized on the podium, and the CMS varsity boys received a plaque for their 1st place team win with a combined time of 16:55. Way to go, Central Magnet Tigers! 
Our Lady Tigers High School Girls Soccer Team traveled to the mountains of Gatlinburg to compete in the 2025 Smoky Mountain Cup—and they absolutely crushed it!
Over the course of three games, the Lady Tigers:
•       Won all three matches
•       Scored a total of 11 goals
•       Allowed zero goals against them
Talk about teamwork, hustle, and Tiger pride! If you see any of these athletes in the halls today, be sure to congratulate them on their outstanding performance.
