Attention Juniors and Seniors - do you need help with your resume for college or job applications? Come to National English Honor Society's resume workshop and get help from peer-tutors with creating, editing, or refining your resume! Our first workshop will take place Thursday, September 11th during RTI in Mrs. Eubanks' room. Sign up in Flex!
Are you a middle school student who loves math? Join the MATHCOUNTS competition team. Come to Tiger Time in room 131 this Friday during your 7th period study time. Dr. Ye from MTSU will be here to coach.
High school students, are you interested in Architecture, Engineering or Construction? The ACE Mentoring Club is for you. You will be designing a project throughout the year, get to visit local construction projects and have the opportunity to earn scholarship money. Join the ACE Mentoring Club on Wednesday, Sept. 10th from 3:15 to 5:00 pm in room 131 to learn more about this club. Please see Mr. Bonanno with any questions.
Attention Central! Key Club will be selling donuts this week in the morning. Come get drinks, donuts, and other baked goods while they last. Also ask about their trip to Dollywood and how you can join!
11th graders! If you are wanting to join us for the first Prom comm. meeting- it will be held Wednesday during club time in the lunchroom! You must be an 11th grader to attend.
Attention all students.  Remember for H rotation (Wednesday this week) that all students report to Advisory. 
For mentoring this week, 8th and 12th grade mentors will meet with Mr. Nichols in the auditorium for training.  Mentors, please be sure to sign up in Flex and report to the auditorium quickly.  Email or see Mr. Nichols if you have any questions. 
Middle school First Priority will begin morning meetings this Thursday at 7:20 AM. Girls will meet in Ms. Hale's classroom (218) and the boys with meet in the high school boys locker room (with Mr Lanier). Hope to see you then!
Do you enjoy business, finance, marketing, or hospitality? If so, any aspiring or existing DECA members, make sure to turn in your forms, pay your dues, and secure your spot for competition. You can get the forms from Mrs. Crawley-Harrison in room 210 or go to the CMS DECA club webpage.
Jr. Beta Members, don't forget your signed commitment to attend state convention is due to Ms. Sloan by the end of the day on Monday, September 15. If you did not get a packet, they can be found on the Jr. Beta website or outside of Ms. Sloan's room, room 234.
Are you a girl interested in STEM, public speaking, and community outreach? Join Potentia 360@CMS! We are partnered with local non-profit Potentia 360 and we are dedicated to empowering female students interested in pursuing a career in STEM fields. We will be hosting speakers to inform members of possible career paths, as well as participating in community service projects. First meeting after school on September 18th from 3:15 to 4:30 in room 347! Bring your friends!

Come to the Tiger Talent show on Saturday, September 12th, from 5:30- 8:30 PM, hosted by HS Cheer. Some of Central's most talented students will be performing.  Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at the door, and the link is on the CMS website on the HS Cheer page. Votes will be $1.00 each, so bring some money to vote for your favorites.  Proceeds will help your cheerleaders fund their Nationals trip.   
Seniors! The Dollywood trip is scheduled for October 17th. You will receive permission slips in your English classes.
There will be an interest meeting for the middle school and high school CMS swim teams on Thursday 9/18 at 7:00pm via ZOOM. Please see the swim team's website for the link and more information.
CMS Archery will have the beginning of the year parent meeting on September 23rd at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. This meeting is for parents of current team members and those interested in joining the team. Students, please make sure your parents attend this important meeting.

The Tiger golf team competed in the PCA Invitational yesterday at Champions Run. Lauren Powell won second place overall with a 70 and Emery Mitchell added a 77 to lead the ladies to a second-place finish. The boys finished in the top twelve, playing very well on holes 6-7. The Tigers finish the regular season on Monday in a match with Macon County. The district tournament is next Thursday.
Middle school tennis are undefeated in their first four matches with both boys and girls winning 5-0 against Oakland last Thursday and defeating MTCS yesterday 4 to 1 for the girls and 5 to 0 for the boys. Congratulations to these teams as they move on to face Christiana this Thursday.
