8th graders: Applications are open through January 31 for you to apply for 9th grade. Even current 8th graders must re-apply going into high school!
Join us for our Winter Choral Concert "Vuelie"! Hear stories connecting cultures, traditions, and heritage, along with holiday favorites performed by the CMS 6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade, Varsity, Show and Chamber Choirs. The concert is next Thursday, Dec. 18th at 7:00pm and admission is free!
Students planning to get their drivers permit during Christmas break need to pick up the SF1010 form in the attendance office

CMS Choir is selling CMS Tumblers to support their trip to Disney this spring! You can purchase tumblers featuring MLB and NCAA teams, as well as Central Magnet-themed coffee cups and water bottles.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:
If you signed up to take a dual enrollment class next semester (or you are in a full year DE science class and haven't done all your paperwork, including the grant), you need to take care of that as soon as possible this week. You will receive an email from MTSU if there is outstanding paperwork. See your counselor if you have any questions. High School will be playing Volleyball on Spirit Day. To play, turn in a permission form to Ms. Dixon. Forms are posted outside her classroom and posted on the Student Council website.
Any middle school student that is interested in learning cursive writing and lettering, please sign up in the attendance office with Dr. Guthrie. Classes will be on Tuesdays after school until 4:30 in room 240.  You Must be signed up and have parent permission form turned in by January 10th to attend. The first class will be January 13th. More information will be on the permission form.
High School Track and Field tryouts are the week we return back from break! Be prepared for Wednesday, January 7th and Thursday, January 8th. Email Coach Winger if you need the Remind code for updates, or can't make it one of the tryout days.
Central's bowling season ended last night with a loss to Stewarts Creek; however, Ryder Hoffman rolled a solid 214, and Matias Carmona Perez set a personal best and a team-season high score of 244.
The Middle School Girls Baskrtball team brought home two wins last night against Thurman Francis.  In the first game, the JV girls won by a score of 19-11. Leading scorer was Parthenia Yossef with 7. Elsa Clancy and Joci Lanier added 4 each while Naomi Escobar, Sydney Jennings and Nora Casteel had 2 each.  The varsity girls handled the Rams easiky winning  40-24. Linley Lapointe let all scorers with 14 while Lydia Luna added 9 and Sadie Craig chipped in 7.  Lena Cloud had 4 and Avery Davis, Olivia Moake and Elsa Clancy finished out the scoring column with 2 each.
