Big shoutout to the high school JV boys basketball team on a strong finish to the season!
Last night, the Tigers closed things out the right way, earning a hard-fought 35–29 victory over the visiting Tigers from Macon County High School.
Chuk Obi caught fire and led all scorers with 14 points, while Brady Moore added 7 and Caden Odom chipped in 6 in a true team effort.
With that win, the JV Tigers wrap up the season with an impressive 12–7 record. This group showed grit, growth, and great chemistry all year—and there is a lot to be excited about next season. Great job, Tigers!
On the varsity side, last night's game was a battle. The Varsity Tigers went toe-to-toe with Macon County High School in a game that stayed tight until the very end.
Despite a strong showing, Central Magnet came up just short in a 56–64 final that was decided at the free-throw line in the last minute.
Carter Sage led the charge with 14 points and also controlled the glass with 5 rebounds.
Owen King poured in 12 points, and Braylon Payne added 8 as the Tigers fought possession by possession.
This team is locked in and battle-tested—and the journey is far from over.
Reminder: The district tournament tips off this Saturday at Watertown High School. Come out, be loud, and pack the stands in black and gold as the Tigers chase postseason success! Go Tigers!
