Juniors- On March 10th the Junior class will be taking the ACT. You are allowed to leave school following the test with parent permission. Your English teacher will be passing out the permission forms. Please turn these into attendance by Friday, March 6th. We will not be taking phone calls/texts/ emails the day of the test.
Prom tickets are still being sold at high school lunches and online.
Last week, the online tickets sales site crashed, but they are back up and working now! Please make sure to get your prom tickets by this Friday!
The middle school creative writing club will NOT meet today, Wednesday, March 4.
Aerospace Club members: the annual paper airplane competition will be this Friday after school in Mr. Leach’s room! It will be from 3-4pm; we will have snacks, aviation documentaries, and prizes for the winners!
Yesterday, our Advanced Strings Orchestra Class participated in CPA- Concert Performance Assessment at Centennial High School. They were adjudicated by four judges and received the highest possible rating- superior from all four judges. Congratulations to our Advanced Strings orchestra class!

Attention middle school students: if you are interested in joining the middle school cheer team for the 2026-2027 school year, please see Ms. Burns in room 225 or Ms. Borombozin in room 220 and pick up a tryout packet. There is a mandatory interest meeting on March 16th at 6pm in room 132.

The Central Magnet Tigers rallied from a 4-1 deficit and then hung on to defeat Marshall County 9-8. Elijah Bonner and John Roth led the offense with multiple hits. Bonner and Henry Long both had 2 RBIs. Riley Flora helped start the rally with his first high school hit in his first high school at bat. Braylen Dowell got the win on the mound with nice relief work from Carter Shelton and making his high school pitching debut, Brady Yates stranded the tying run at 3rd to get the save. Brady also hammered a double in the gap. The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday versus Webb.
The boy's high school soccer team opened the season with a dramatic 4-3 win over Franklin Co. last night. Will Clark had a man of the match performance scoring two goals and adding an assist. Jude McCollum scored twice, including the game winner. The boys are right back in action tomorrow night away at Blackman.
The JV team also won 1-0 over Franklin County's JV. Massimo Del Bueno had the goal, and Jude Brock had the assist.
