The library will be closed this Friday, March the 20th to set up the book fair. Please make any plans to check out books and print before Friday.
Rising Juniors and Seniors: if you are interested in becoming a member of National English Honor Society, applications are live right now! There are flyers in your English classes or you can use the link on our club website to apply. Please note that applications are due March 20th at 3 PM!!!
Middle School will play flag football on the spring spirit day. Pick up and return permission forms to the folders outside Mrs. Phillips’s room by next Friday. Each grade can have two teams consisting of 12 players & 1 coach.
Congratulations to senior Sophie Tan. Sophie was recently named the winner of the 2026 Middle Tennessee Sinfonietta Concerto Competition in the Young Adult Musician Category. This category included talented musicians from both high school and college music programs, making this an outstanding achievement. As the winner, she will perform the first movement of Piano Concerto No. 2 by Camille (pronounced: ""Say-sah"")Saint-Saëns  with the orchestra. The concert will also feature Beethoven’s famous Symphony No. 5.
 The performance will take place this Sunday, March 15 at 3:00 PM at Hinton Hall in the MTSU School of Music.
Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.
Congratulations again to Sophie on this impressive accomplishment!

Dance team tryouts for middle and high school are May 7th and 8th. Please download the packet from the dance team website and see Ms. Givens if you have any questions.
On Monday, the Middle School Boys Varsity Team earned a strong victory over Whitworth Buchanan, winning 4–1.
Luke Jones scored all four goals, and goalkeeper Ryland Dolan recorded six saves to secure the win.
The Junior Varsity Tigers also earned a big win defeating Buchanan JV 4–0.
Kian Mills scored two goals, and Xavier Clarke and Dreamer Cripps each added one goal.
Yesterday, the Varsity Team continued their winning streak with a 7–0 victory over Stewarts Creek.
Luke Jones and Ugo Eze scored two goals each, while Jett Wanthalangshy, KJ Charles, and Ritesh Kumar each added a goal for the Tigers.
A strong defensive performance from goalkeeper Ryland Dolan and defenders Beckett Jackson, Lucas Kime, Sam Woodring, and Brady Inthaluxay secured the clean sheet.
The Junior Varsity Tigers also defeated Stewarts Creek JV 2–1, with striker Kian Mills netting two goals to lead the team.
The Tiger baseball bats exploded for a 13-2 win over Franklin Road Academy. John Roth had 3 hits and 4 rbis. Joseph Rowell also had 3 hits. Grayson Laroy was 2 for 2 and Brady Yates scored 3 runs. The Tigers stole 9 bases on the day. Elijah Bonner got the win pitching 3 innings and allowing one run on one hit. Henry Long pitched two perfect innings in relief. The Tigers will be off today before facing Webb on Thursday at Siegel.
The HS soccer team traveled north to Kipp Global last night and emerged victorious with s 3-0 win.  JT Parkerson, Carson Phillips, and Jacob Garner all had goals.  Will Clark and Adrian Meho had assists.  Paden Bontrager had 4 saves in goal for the shut out. 
The JV team also won with a 5-1 score.  Lucas Ye, Xander Griffen, Lukas Gladowski all had goals.  Parker Griffen and Connor Clagg each had two assists.
The boys play again tomorrow night vs. Macon County at Richard Siegel Park.
The Middle School Golf Team hit the course yesterday for their first match of the season playing against Siegel and Eagleville.  Congratulations to the girls' team who finished in first place with the combined efforts of Ava Austin and Olivia Fausnaught.  Individually, Ava also tied for the best score of 44.  On the boys' side, individually, Aaman Jemsheer tied for the second-best score of 41.  After a close run for second, the boys finished 3rd overall. Good job and looking forward to a great season.
