Guidance will begin scheduling rising juniors, (current sophomores) beginning Tuesday. Watch for an email with sign up instructions and the Sign Up Genius link. PLEASE make sure you sign up with your counselor, and bring your completed course requests sheets to your appointment. Do not wait to be called to your appointment. Just ask your teacher to come to guidance about five minutes before your appointment time.

The Delta Sigma Theta sorority scholarship is now open, the application is on the Guidance Financial aid page.

 

ALL Dual Enrollment students (2015-16) need to report to the gym during club time this Thursday. A photographer from MTSU will be here to take a group picture.

 

ALL Spanish Students: Please remember that your $4 for the National Spanish Exam is due this week to Ms. Pinson. All money must be collected by Friday at 3pm. See her for any questions!

 

 

Lady Tigers hold DeKalb County scoreless in OT to get the 52-44 win. Maddie Sandman gets 23 & Sydney Smith scores 6 of the Lady Magnets 8 in OT.

 

Middle school softball condition is tuesday and Wednesday of this week right after school. Catchers and pitchers should plan to stay after. 

 

Any middle school girls who are interested in playing softball this spring season mark January 30th on your calendar.  Tryouts for the Central Magnet Middle School Softball Team will be held at McKnight softball fields between 3:30 and 5:30 on Monday January 30th.  You must have an athletic physical in order to tryout. Stop by Room 204 for more information.

 

The Central Magnet Tigers defeated DeKalb County on Friday at homecoming by a score or 70-32.

The win was the Tigers 5th in a row and they put 4 players in double figures. Patrick Blair and Michael Brown each had 14 points  4 3 pointers each, Nick Hamlett had 13 points, and Patrick Norman chipped in 10 points.

The Tigers will next be in action on Tuesday when they host the Upperman Bees.

We need the Stripe Squad to be in full force tomorrow just like Friday night.   

 

The archery teams took first place at the Oakland at the Hive Tournament on Saturday.  The MS team edged Stewart’s Creek MS by one point to take first place in the MS division.  The HS team beat out Stewart’s Creek HS by 98 points to take first place in the HS division.  Individually, Blake Spencer and Dominic Swader placed 1st and 2nd respectively in the MS Male Division, Connor Smathers placed 1st in the HS Male division, Samantha Upchurch placed 3rd and Alison Blanton placed 1st in the HS Female Division.  The archery teams will be shooting at Stewart’s Creek Winter Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 28th at 4 pm, so come out and watch.
