If you would like to check out books from the CMS Library this summer, please have your parents fill out the summer reading permission form on our website by this Friday, May 12th.

 

All library books are due by Friday. Please return all of your library materials as soon as possible. If you have questions about what you have checked out, please see any teacher or the librarians. Teachers, we need all of your items by Friday, as well. 

 

 

This past Friday the Center for the Arts held the County Wide Art Show.  Central Magnet student's did extremely well.  Lucia Vargas Won the 1st place middle school award and the Best of Show Award.  In the high school division Savannah Cucchiara won 3rd place and Hannah Middleton won 1st place.

 

Mr. Greenwell was recognized as the Top County Art Teacher.

 

 

Come out and celebrate with our seniors as they start their district tournament by taking on Livingston Academy.  The match starts at 5:30 and is $5 to attend. The seniors will be recognized at half time.

 

A big congratulations to Cole Yoders and Sydney Smith!

They won the President’s Cup award at the DNJ Sports Award Banquet.  This is biggest award the DNJ gives out at the banquet. It highlights not only athletic achievement, but stresses academic, community service/leadership, etc.

 

Also at the DNJ banquet, Luis Sanchez was one of 3 finalists for the All-County Men's Soccer Award and Madison Shea was a finalist for the All-County Girl's Soccer Award and Delaney Sain for the All-County Girl's Golf, Abby Graves was a finalist for All-County XC.

 

Great job to all of these amazing student athletes.

 

 

Your central baseball team got their first win of the district 8AA tournament beating York 12-2 in 5 innings. Trey Campbell got the win striking out 7. CJ Campbell and Patrick Norman had two hits each and Joey Hughes scored 3 runs. The Tigers will take on Upperman Monday at 6:00

 

The Lady Tigers won 10-0 against Upperman last night in the first round of the district tournament!  They collected 14 hits in the win.

Alyssa Ward was 3/4 with a double.

Sydney Smith was 3/4.

Ashley Dyer was 2/3 with a double.

Addie Baird had a 3 run double.

Faith McCaghren was 2/2 with 2 RBIs.

Kali Penny had a 3 run double and threw a 4 hitter for the win.

 

The Lady Tigers will face DeKalb at 8:15 at Upperman tonight for round two of districts!
