Library books are all due immediately. Please turn them in and clear your accounts. See your English teachers or the librarians to see if you have books checked out. 

 

 

There will be a meeting for any high school student interesting in going to Europe this Sunday May 21st at 4:00 in Mr. Cato's room. Please bring a parent with you if possible. If you can't attend the meeting, please see Coach Kirksey or Mr. Cato for information. 

 

Do you want to visit a volcano, zip line thorough the rain forest canopy and white water raft in Central America. If so, the physics and biology clubs are offering a 10 day excursion to Costa Rica in June of 2018. An interest meeting will be held on this Thursday, May 18th in the cafeteria at 7:30 pm. See Mr. Burns or Mr. Horton for more details if you cannot attend.

 

 

 

45 students took the National French Exam in March. 18 received certificates of honor and 16 more received medals, including a Paltinum Medal for Kesan Vouzni in level 1 for a perfect score, one of only 3 in TN. In addition, Central had a total of 3 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medalists. 

 

 

Voting for student council will take place this morning. Grades six through 11 will vote on student body and grades 9, 10 and 11 will vote for class officers. The link to vote is on the main webpage. If you have any questions about voting this morning please see Mrs. Hines.  Voting will close at the end of lunch. 

 

If you are in Coach Kirksey's drivers ed class, you may now pick up your certified trained driver cards in the front office. 

 

Dance team clinic Friday, May 19 and tryouts Monday, May 20. Both days from 3:15-5:30 in the auditorium. The dance packet is linked on Ms. Davis's website, and you can see her with more questions.

 

The high school men's soccer team traveled to Chattanooga to take on Notre Dame last night.  After giving up two goals the tigers fought back to win 3-2.  Luis Sanchez scored and had an assist.  Stephen Falter Scored twice.  His second goal came in the last three minutes off of a corner by Jacob Apigian. Russel Harper saved a PK late in the second half to help keep the match even.  The team moves on to play at Merrol Hyde on Thursday at 7pm.
